Shekinah is derived from a Hebrew verb that literally means to settle, inhabit, or dwell.
I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the LORD, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob. (Psalm 132:4)
How can you revolutionize your prayer time?
As mentioned in yesterday’s devotional, God lined up a sequence of devotionals and responses to them that ultimately opened the door for me and others to learn about Michael Howard and now meet him this coming weekend.

Here is what Naomi said:
I receive your daily blessing. I am currently working on a project that will certainly be a blessing to those in South Africa who are without a bible. I have solicited many churches in and around Culpeper for prayer, bible donations, new or used and/or monetary contributions to purchase and mail …

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power. – Alan Cohen
To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
If you live locally, will you help spread this message to your family and friends?

What might happen if you stepped into and embraced your destiny?
Virginia Morton asked for me to clarify a mistake in the last paragraph of yesterday’s devotional. The picnic at Robert Duvall’s farm was limited to about 1,000 people. It was not a private party.
The “No Power Picnic” on Sunday July …

How do you know when it’s the LORD speaking to you?
Today Stephen Burke came to the Culpeper Library during our weekly Pray Culpeper meeting to share his first-hand story about his walk of faith. As shared in my devotional on July 20, Stephen is the author of “The LORD Will Provide.”
In 2004, Stephen stepped away from his long-time career to start His own …

When a child smiles in the midst of opening a present there is happiness.
When a child smiles in the midst of extreme poverty there is God.

What can we do as a community to help children in poor countries?
You are invited to meet author Stephen Burke on Monday July 23 in the large meeting room of the Culpeper Library during our Noon-1PM Pray Culpeper meeting. Stephen’s book, …

More time with less people equals greater Kingdom impact!
So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed. (Luke 5:16)
What is a Disciple? … and how do you make one?
Jesus spent the majority of his time with twelve disciples, not twelve hundred. There exists no better example of a godly leader than Jesus. He’s the gold standard, the mark we’re to aim for.
On his website, Patrick Morley, author of “The Man in the Mirror,” says:
First, what does it mean to be a disciple? In the Bible the word for disciple …
