We have a living God, a speaking God! One who loves us, His children, and He particularly loves to speak to us! He can speak to any one of us who love Him.

“In the Last Days I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17).

You might be thinking, “I read the Bible every day, so I’m hearing from the Lord every day.” While it’s good to read the Bible, the recorded Word of the Lord, which is the foundation of our Christian faith, it’s wonderful to also hear straight from the Lord and “take heed to His sure word of prophecy, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in our hearts” (2 Peter 1:19).

His Word says to “Stir up the gift of God which is in you” (2 Timothy 1:6). So, every day should be a new experience for us, a new listening to the Voice of the Lord. Why live only on yesterday�s spiritual food, when we can have fresh “manna from Heaven” (John 6:58) every day? Jesus still speaks today! Listen to what He told me on June 15, 2008:

I have the KEYS – simple keys to BREAKTHROUGH. It’s not complicated. You have to trust me on this. Just keep writing down what You hear me saying. I know what works and what doesn’t. I am the Alpha and Omega, so I see the end from the beginning. I have to show You before you can show others. What you shared at Soul Purpose Church today was good. Even though it seems that most people didn’t get it, seeds were planted. You have a generous heart. What you’re doing in secret, I will reward openly. That’s My word – that’s My promise.

Today was another historical day of taking a stand for the WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT. Team destiny hosted their final of three WFJ (Words From Jesus) webinars in December 2009 called “The Miracle of Christmas.”

Dr. Joseph Peck served as the global connector and host of this webinar. The guest panelists were: Deb Smith, Richard Mayhan, Bertha Hinson, and me, Abigail Slocum. Clearly the Holy Spirit took control of the webinar before it ever started and never let go!

He began by waking me up at 3:22 AM to give me this prophetic word – WFJ: THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS IS CHRIST! It was His way of orchestrating the whole focus for the discussion. These are the questions we covered:

WFJ: THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS IS CHRIST!

Take the tour of the Word and be free in Christ. CHRISTMAS IS A SEASON FOR MIRACLES BUT EVERY DAY IS A MIRACLE IN CHRIST! TO BE IN CHRIST IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL.

SALVATION IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL. It is God�s free gift to all mankind. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall be saved (have eternal life).(John 3:16).

What is so miraculous is that SALVATION IS THE “GREAT EXCHANGE!” MAN GIVES GOD HIS IMPERFECT, BROKEN, SINFUL LIFE IN EXCHANGE FOR A PERFECT (COMPLETE) LIFE IN CHRIST. JESUS GIVES HIS ALL FOR OUR ALL!

When you receive Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, the LIGHT OF THE WORLD – THE CANDLE OF MAN, comes into your heart to show you the most excellent way of all to live. IT IS THE WAY OF LOVE BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE.

In this “GREAT EXCHANGE,” your old sinful man dies and the new man comes alive in Christ. CHRIST LIVES THROUGH YOU to live the perfect will of God which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17).

Unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is your inheritance as a born again child of God. IT IS A LIFE OF VICTORY AND TOTAL PROVISION. To be one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is to be free from every bondage of sin and to be free to experience the fullness and abundance of life in Christ Jesus. JESUS IS THE DOOR TO FREEDOM AND TOTAL FULFILLMENT.

Jesus� arms are open wide and ALL THAT BELONGS TO THE FATHER OF LIGHTS IS YOURS WHEN YOU SAY “YES” TO JESUS who is the express image and likeness of God, and His Kingdom of Love becomes yours!

IT IS A SUPERNATURAL GIFT OF DIVINE INFUSION AND PROPORTION AND IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL! Become one with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. ALLOW THE PRINCE OF PEACE TO RULE IN YOUR HEART FOREVERMORE, for God set eternity in the heart of man. He loves YOU so much and nothing will ever separate YOU from His love.

LET THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD LIGHT YOUR PATH AND BE A BEACON OF HOPE TO ALL MANKIND. THE KING OF GLORY HAS CHOSEN AND MADE A WAY TO TAKE UP RESIDENCE IN YOUR HEART AND BE YOUR KING AND PRINCE OF PEACE. SAY YES TO HIM AND THE KINGDOM IS YOURS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL. The Redeemer wants to take all of you in your imperfection and transform you into the likeness of Christ. RECEIVE THE GREATEST GIFT KNOWN TO MANKIND AND LIVE “THE GREAT ADVENTURE” IN CHRIST. NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THIS INDECSRIBABLE GIFT OF PURE AND PERFECT LOVE. It is greater than anything you ever wanted for Christmas for it is the desire of your heart. RECEIVE GOD�S GIFT AND SPEND THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL LIFE AND ETERNITY UNWRAPPING JESUS, GOD�S GIFT OF HIMSELF WHO IS PERFECT LOVE. THERE IS NO END TO LOVE. REJOICE AND BE AT PEACE. IMMANUEL HAS COME!

RECEIVE ALL OF THE GREATEST MIRACLE WHO EVER WAS OR IS TO COME! Let Christ have free reign in your heart and become His walking talking miracle and witness to all mankind. Your light has come. BE GLORIFIED IN HIS ETERNAL PRESENCE.

I LOVE YOU, MY CHILD. BE MADE WHOLE. ENTER THE JOY OF THE LORD. MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE PERFECT LOVER OF YOUR SOUL! BE SATISFIED IN ME. I AM YOUR FULFILLMENT AND HEART�S DESIRE. SHALOM.

God is on the move and doing amazing things in this earth! He continues to draw the body of Christ together in unity for His purposes. People may not be aware of all or see all that the Lord is doing but He truly is “CONNECTING THE DOTS”.

THE MOMENTUM OF THE WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT IS BUILDING UP SPEED. The dam is about to break free and there will be undeniable evidence of God�s hand moving on His People. THE YOUTH WILL PLAY A BIG PART IN THE AWAKENING THAT WILL COME FORTH!

Upon awakening this morning I received a WFJ (Word From Jesus). It was just in time and so appropriate for the second webinar of three taking place at 8AM today. Dr. Randy Peck was hosting the Words From Jesus: How To Hear God’s Voice Webinar. Today’s topic was “The $14,400 Miracles!” The guest panelists were Doug Barclay, Bob Sims, and Bertha Hinson. During this life-changing, world changing webinar, they shared what Dr. Peck considered to be their BIGGEST GOD STORY FOR THE PAST SEVEN YEARS!

Without knowing what was going to be said today, this is what Jesus spoke to my heart. It�s so amazing how He is always right on time and right on target!

Now is the time of seedtime and harvest. I AM MOVING IN THIS EARTH IN UNUSUAL WAYS. I am the Lord of the Harvest. As long as the earth remains there is seedtime and harvest. I am planting My Word in the hearts of My people worldwide and they are speaking it out and it will bear much fruit. I DO NOT COMPROMISE MY WORD. It does not return void and it is accomplished.

MY WORD WILL BRING BILLIONS OF SOULS INTO MY KINGDOM. The Great Commission is going forth. I am also calling My people to sow financial seeds to bring in this end time harvest. SEEDS SOWN IN MY NAME FOR MY PURPOSES WILL REAP A GOD SIZED HARVEST. SPREAD MY WORD. SPREAD YOUR GIVING AND PARTAKE OF MY GLORY.

In October 2002, I first met Doug Barclay at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes retreat at The Cove in Asheville, NC. As a result of our discussion, Doug left his full-time job in sales to pursue full-time ministry work with Operation Mobilization.

Numbers are significant to God.

It is the spiritual discipline of “Two Way Journaling,” namely written dialogue/prayer. This habit bears extraordinary fruit and creates major transformation. When shared it is wonderfully multiplied.

Renato and Patrizia have been missionaries for many years. They both have been journaling and recording the words they hear from Jesus for a long time. Renato began posting these “LIFE GIVING” words in his blog and called them WFJ (Words From Jesus). Other life time two way journalists: Lynne Lee , Dr. Randy Peck, Bertha Hinson and myself also began posting our own WFJ in our blogs.

We truly believe this is a God inspired idea led by the Holy Spirit to create a worldwide WFJ MOVEMENT. It will cause millions of people to desire to hear from God for themselves through two way journaling. Now more than any other time in history, people need to hear from God. People are so desperate and hungry to know that God loves them and has a purpose for their lives. He cares for them and wants to direct their lives step by step. God designed every human heart for relationship. God�s burning desire is to have an abiding intimate relationship with each one of us.

Long beore the Webinar began, the Lord woke me up at precisely 6:12 AM and prompted me to begin praying in the spirit and interceding with resurrection power for Dr. Randy Peck’s webinar today and for the WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT to begin with a bang!

The number 6:12 is significant.

6 is the # for man. I AM INTERCEDING FOR:

1. The eyes of man to be opened to this God-sized WFJ move of God.
2. The ears of man to be opened to this truth: UPON THIS WFJ ROCK OF REVELATION JESUS WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH”
3. The hearts of man to be drawn like magnets all over the world by the power of the Holy Spirit to this call of God to come to Jesus and His Word.
4. I pray for God to stir up a deep desire for men, women and children to want to learn how to two way journal so they can hear the voice of God for themselves and then publish His Word to the world.
5. I declare in Jesus name that the mouth of the enemy is being slammed shut and the Words of Jesus are exponentially exploding in the earth to overcome every lie.
6. Every knee of man will bow and every tongue of man will confess that JESUS IS LORD!

The number 12 is significant.

1. Twelve is the number for government and apostolic authority.
2. For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
3. Twelve is the number of tribes of Israel. I CALL the tribes of the Lion of Judah to ARISE and take their rightful place in the plan of God and to spread the GOOD NEWS to the ends of the earth with the WORDS OF JESUS!

I want to invite and encourage everyone reading this to become a part of this vital worldwide move of God. Remember that “Two Way Journaling is God’s Supernatural HIGHway to His Heart!” Just start where you are!

If you were certain your life as you know it would end in a few weeks, what would be your biggest regret? Why?

Today is Day 2 in the 30 days series titled “One Month To Live” and based on Kerry and Chris Shook’s recently released book by that same title. “One Month To Live empowers you to focus on being who God created you to be – passionate, fully alive, living without regrets.”

In Chapter 2 of their book, Kerry and Chris talk about their thrilling rides on an old-time roller coaster called “The Big Dipper.” Unlike today’s modern-day roller coasters, this one was in poor repair and riders were concerned that someday one of the cars or seats might jump the track. Still, they took the risk because the rides were so much fun.

Do you see your life more as a safe ride or a trip on the Big Dipper? What areas of your life are safer than others? For example, maybe you take huge risks to advance in your career, but you overly protect your heart and risk little in relationships.

Many people suffer from “Someday Syndrome.” Their favorite day of the week is “Someday.” Someday. One day. When. If. Then it’s over. This is your life, right here, right now. Someday is right now. Tomorrow never comes. It’s always today. What step of courage is God leading you to take today?

I’m passionate about every day I live and thankful for that. It’s a gift from God to wake up each morning excited about what the new day will bring. Yesterday I went to my first Culpeper School Board meeting in more than a decade at the suggestion of my wife because the new school superintendent was being formally introduced to our community. The meeting was quite good and because of my obedience, God blessed me with some extraordinary connections after the meeting.

This morning I went to the Culpeper Ministerial Association meeting. On a scale of 1-10, that was a 100. God is moving big-time in our community, as well as around the world. I have never seen such passion for Jesus in leaders in our community than at the present. During this meeting, God opened the door to launch the Experiencing God Through Journaling webinars in Spanish. Wow!

Who do you know who is looking for great resources to be empowered?

Yesterday afternoon I had the privilege to speak for the first time to Karla Meachem, founder of “Empowering Christian Women.” In less than two months, Karla has had a major impact on my life and ministry. Because of Karla’s obvious love for Jesus, the Holy Spirit prompted me on several occasions recently to contact her to learn more about her dreams and goals and discover how I might be able to help her fulfill those.

Karla lives in small town (300 people) in Saskatchewan Canada (north of North Dakota). She was one of the first 30-50 people I connected to on Twitter. Her Twitter background (“Focus on Christ”) and tweets prompted me to check out the people she was following. That in turn led me to follow many of her contacts which led to lots of great connections. Of my 468 followers on Twitter, Karla is one of my favorite ones. Karla’s bold stand for Jesus encouraged me to be more bold in the Relationship Marketing (Web 2.0) arena.

After Karla and I got connected on Twitter, she began subscribing to Your Daily Blessing and inviting others to do so. I noticed she often clicked through hyperlinks I shared. As I saw her name pop up in my various reports, I prayed for her often. Clearly she has passion for others to come to know the love of Jesus.

Without me ever asking her to do so, Karla signed up for the JIREH Marketing Bronze Membership. She chose to sow a financial seed into God’s billion soul vision and become part of God’s Team Destiny. Since favor is proportional to God’s assignment, I believe Karla has stepped into a new place of great favor.

For several weeks (or perhaps longer), the Holy Spirit has been telling me over and over to start my own BlogTalkRadio show. While I wrote down to do that several times in my journal, somehow I kept allowing other things to distract me. While talking to Karla, the Holy Spirit told me to ask Karla for permission to interview her next week (Dec 2-4) on internet radio. She agreed. Thank You Jesus!

This morning I strongly sensed God wants Karla to be the very first person I interview on BlogTalkRadio. God is not only going to use Karla as a catalyst to help me launch a world-wide radio ministry, but for many others in my network and hers as well. Wow! It’s amazing what God can do through one person who is faithful to him.

Incidentally, Karla has plans to soon launch two new blogs, one to empower Christian men and another to empower Christian kids. If you want to connect to the shakers and movers on the web, Karla is definitely one of them. For my followers who are looking for resources to be empowered, I encourage you to subscribe to Karla’s awesome blog. For those who want to follow Karla on Twitter, her user name is karlameachem.

By the way, in tomorrow’s message for Thanksgiving Day, I’ll be sharing photos and highlights from yesterday’s Culpeper Community Thanksgiving Service. That was awesome. On Friday, November 28, the message will be “Where Are They?” – referring to the lack of authentic Christian blogs. That title comes from the latest blog post by Heather, one of Karla’s friends who is honoring Jesus in her struggle with brain cancer.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Karla Meachem and her love for You. Thank You for the way you are using an ordinary mom to do extraordinary things through the power of prayer and the web. Thank You that Karla is moving to a new place of great favor with You and man. Grant her the desires of her heart. In any areas of her life where she is struggling, help her to break through. What dream of your parents or grandparents is waiting to be fulfilled by you?

We continue with our theme of friends. Our online courses (webinars) are really turning out to be a blessing for everyone involved. In the process of growing together, strong bonds of covenant relationships are being established.

This evening, Jerry Graham, Georgia Willis Fauber, Dan Paulsen, and I wrapped up our five week, online course titled “UNCOMMON Social Marketing (Web 2.0).” That was an eye opener for each of us. Not only did we each glean a lot of valuable marketing lessons from the course, but we became closer friends in the process of working together.

I first met Dan in mid June 2008 after he registered for the five week UNCOMMON Coaching For Destiny course. While Dan already was a certified life coach, he promptly stepped in to help Jerry teach the next DESTINY course that started in early September. Now after just 3 months of knowing each other, Dan and i are exploring the possibility of a joint venture. It’s neat how God connects people, builds friendships, and finally establishes covenant relationships. Following the golden rule really does work.

After tonight’s webinar, Georgia and I had a chance to chat for another half an hour. She told me how grateful she was for yesterday’s devotional and my sharing about her family’s five generations that have lived in the home she grew up in.

As Georgia shared more wonderful stories about her parents, I made the statement “We are carriers of their dreams.” By that I meant the dreams of our parents are often not fulfilled during their lifetimes, but if we are aware of what those dreams are, we can be used by God as instruments to fulfill the dreams.

King David knew God wanted to build a temple as His sanctuary, but it was David’s son, King Solomon, who ultimately fulfilled that dream.

This same principle of fulfilling someone’s dreams applies to other people besides parents, ancestors, or relatives who die prematurely. It seems the same principles applies to many of our prayers. While we may never see answers to our prayers during our lifetime, eventually someone come along to be that answer. It might take hundreds or even thousands of years for a prayer to be answered, but God is faithful. As the Bible states, a thousand years is like a day for God.

I learned from Georgia that Paul Newman died at his home from cancer on Friday September 26, which happens to be my mother’s birthday and my pastor’s birthday. Georgia shared that Paul was such a wonderful philanthropist, having given away more than $250 million to worthy causes. Isn’t that a neat legacy to leave. But even someone as significant as Paul Newman had to have unfilled dreams. It’s neat to think that those who follow after us might well fulfill dreams that came from deep within us.

I have a dream to see many of God’s children learn how to leverage the POWER of the web in a supernatural way to bring a billion people into the Kingdom of God. Each day I take another swing of the ax against the mighty oak. Eventually that mighty oak tree will tumble. I’m excited that 60 people have already registered for our next UNCOMMON Social Marketing (Web 2.0) course that begins at 7:30 pm EST on Thursday October 2.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of friends and covenant relationships. Thank You for all the various type of social media that allow us to easily communicate with other people around the world. Help us to be good stewards with these resources you have placed before us. In yesterday’s message titled “One Thing,” I shared that in the middle of my sabbatical year (2007), God connected me with Jerry and Sharon Graham, who together make up “The Coaching Pair.” The slogan on their website even before I met them was “Guiding You To Your Destiny.”

If it hadn’t been for Jerry, I would not have taken the second of a series of 3 courses offered by Lifeforming Leadership Coaching titled “Life Focus.” That course and that choice had a profound impact on the direction of the rest of my life and what I do. All the DESTINY products, courses, and memberships being developed are a result of that.

So even though in 2007 I failed miserably in my goal to review much of my journals for the previous 5 years, God still accomplished His purposes by leading me to a course and DESTINY coach to allow me to reflect on my past, dream for the future, and narrow my focus.

There is tremendous power in FOCUS. Simple sunlight shining through a magnifying glass can ignite a fire. Simple “white” light shining through the right prism in the right way can produce a laser beam that can cut through steal. There is tremendous POWER in a focused life. The apostle Paul, the greatest salesman in the history of the world for the Word of God, said “but ONE THING I do” (Philippians 3:13). He was extremely focused.

About four years ago, God transitioned me from an established church to be part of a new church plant, which became Soul Purpose Church. After taking our DESTINY course that began in June 2008, Pastor Matt Gregory officially adopted this mission for SPC, “Coaching You To Discover And Fulfill Your Soul Purpose.”

Can you see the pattern here? God has subtly repositioned me as a DESTINY Coach as I sought His Kingdom and His righteousness first every day. He’s built a team – Team Destiny – and the team is growing rapidly. This has been a process. Journaling has helped bring lots of clarity.

On September 5, I close my email reply to Joseph Umidi with this “P.S.” – “Today I was thinking what I would say if someone asked me what I do. My answer would be, “I’m a DESTINY Coach.” And that’s thanks to you. ” Journaling has allowed God to be my Master Coach. Everyone of my major websites now includes coaching as a vital part.

In “The Greatest Salesman In The World” book, Og Mandino shared that “Many have achieved great success with one sales talk delivered with excellence.” That’s the power of focus.

In my July 10, 2006 devotional titled, “Redeeming The Time“, I shared that “You redeem your time by seeking God’s Kingdom first!” Life Changing Seminars is “helping God’s people better invest their most valuable resourse – TIME.”

Change seldom takes place without first asking questions. Jesus shaped His disciples’ thinking by asking them questions. When Jesus was asked questions, He often responded with questions. Questions can be very useful in discerning God’s will. The link below with “101 Questions” will help you discern God’s best for your life and to become more effective for Him.
