“When God speaks, it is important to write down what He says.” – Henry Blackaby

then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. (Hebrews 10:9)

Who do you know that will benefit from participating in this new online community to experience God in fresh and exciting ways?

Will you invite them? If so, when?

I’m thrilled to report what the Holy Spirit birthed this morning. The outcome from this will be extraordinary.

Tomorrow (March 24) I’m launching a brand new, 12-week series of webinars on Tuesday evenings covering much of the material in Henry Blackaby’s book Experiencing God. You, your family, and your friends are invited to participate in this world-wide, online LIFE group. This is free and will be inspirational and transformational. To learn more and register, see today’s Blessings of the Day.

What makes this LIFE group different than most, if not all, previous Experiencing God life groups around the world is that this one is online and will integrate online journaling. Because it’s online, people from different countries will be able to interact live during each webinar. God will use this venue to build and unite a vibrant online community of disciples of Jesus. And through the life and leadership coaching by Jerry Graham and me, participants will be propelled forward into their destinies.

In his outstanding book “Experiencing God,” Henry Blackaby writes, “In the mind and teaching of Jesus, a church was a vital, living, dynamic fellowship of believers. The Greek word “koinonia,” most frequently translated “fellowship,” is the best way to describe what a church ought to be.”

Henry Blackaby writes, “When God speaks, it is important to write down what He says.” While Henry talks some about journaling in his book, he doesn’t go into nearly the depth we will. Bruce Wilkinson, in his book “Secrets of the Vine,” shares how journaling played a key role in him breaking through to a deeper abiding in Jesus and a life filled with fruitfulness. Yet, Bruce doesn’t explain how to journal strategically.

On several occasions during my 2-way journaling, Jesus has told me, “Coaching people to journal to hear My voice is your sweet spot.” The LORD has wired me to be an UNCOMMON Journaler, spending hours each day journaling strategically. Why? Mark Jarvis says if a leader must jump six feet if he wants his followers to jump six inches.

There’s a huge miracle story behind the Experiencing God Through Journaling series. I’ll share more about that later this week.

Prayer Power
Most gracious and merciful heavenly Father, we praise You as the Master with the master plan. Thank You for birthing this UNCOMMON idea and opportunity today. May you bless the launch of this new online community. Thank You for the many, many people around the world who will be transformed as a result. Jesus, we humble ourselves before You acknowledging that You are the King of kings and the LORD of lords, the Holy One of Israel. Amen and hallelujah!

Blessings to learn to discern God’s will as you live your everyday life!

When one of your teammates succeeds, the whole team succeeds!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20)

Are you chasing the Wild Goose?
If not now, when?

I’m so excited. My spirit is jumping with joy. This week I’m on the verge of perhaps the greatest breakthrough of my life and I see breakthroughs happening all around me. I see the favor of God upon TEAM DESTINY and JIREH Marketing Members. I’ll be sharing about some of those this week and next. The keyword for this week is “WILD GOOSE.”

My prayer is that you will catch the Holy Spirit fever and choose to jump into His flowing river of living water. The Wild Goose chase has begun and we’re going after Him. Incidentally, Mark Batterson wrote a sequel to his “Chase The Lion” book called “Wild Goose Chase: Reclaim the Adventure of Pursuing God.”

In that book, Mark shares: “Celtic Christians had a name for the Holy Spirit –An Geadh-Glas, or ‘the Wild Goose.’ The name hints at mystery. Much like a wild goose, the Spirit of God cannot be tracked or tamed. An element of danger, an air of unpredictability surround Him. And while the name may sound a little sacrilegious, I cannot think of a better description of what it’s like to follow the Spirit through life. I think the Celtic Christians were on to something….

Today, allow me to share an amazing God story about Dewey McDonnell that is unfolding quickly. For more than 3 years, Dewey McDonnell has played a lead role on our core team for Pray Culpeper. He was one of the first people to sign up to be on my intercessory prayer team for Your Daily Blessing when that was formally announced in November 2008.

When I asked people on my intercessory prayer team to submit their own prayer requests so I could pray about those, Dewey responded asking me to pray for 3 things. One of those was for multiplication of the Experiencing God LIFE groups that Pastor Mark Jenkins had helped ignite back in September 2008.

Little did I know that I would become part of one of those Experiencing God LIFE groups and that we would meet at Elizabeth Powell’s beautiful home, just one mile from where I live. As a result of the first meeting, the “Experiencing God Through Journaling” webinar series was birthed. Two days ago, I emailed Richard Blackaby to open a door to discuss partnering with Blackaby Ministries and Lifeway Christian Resources to launch “Experiencing God” webinars world-wide.

Because of my involvement with the “Experiencing God” LIFE group, I learned that Katherine McDonnell, Dewey’s daughter competing in the ACC Championship swim meet taking place on Feb 20-21.

On Sunday Feb 22, Dewey sent an email sharing that Katherine helped lead her University of Virginia (UVA) swim team to a second straight ACC Championship. Her IM medley team broke UVA’s all-time record. Katherine also place second overall in the 100m breaststroke and third in the 200m breaststroke, eclipsing her previous best times and qualifying her for the national meet in Dallas.

Prayer Power
Daddy, thank You for inviting me to take part in the Wild Goose chase. Thank you for the thrill and unpredictability in chasing Him. Please invite my followers to join in this chase of their lifetime. Jesus, you’re the best! It’s in Your precious and mighty name I pray. Amen and hallelujah!

Blessings of the Day
1) “Journaling For Breakthroughs” – FREE webinar at 3pm EST on Tuesday March 3. Lynne Lee, a certified life coach, avid journaler, and Web 2.0 authority from England. will be interviewing me. This is the inaugural Launch of Christian LIFE Coaching Cafe. This is the first time I am being interviewed over the web about journaling to hear God’s voice.

2) Highlights and breakthroughs for me during the past 3 weeks (see below)

Blessings to join the Wild Goose chase!

Breaking News
Culpeper gets hit by its first major snow storm of the year

Randy Peck’s update for his Relational Coaching Network (RCN) cell group meeting on Feb 26, 2009

1) What have you done or what is going on in your life in the areas we discussed in our last call?

I’ve been working feverishly to prepare the way for mass marketing of my journaling e-book. Lynne Lee has helped to propel me forward.

Jerry, Sharon, and I recorded 3 more Wellness webinars together in the process of creating a Wellness e-book and paid course

I interviewed Deb Smith having her share her God story and vision to create an e-book to monetize her coaching business through an Information product.

Julia and I are continuing with our Finance LIFE group on Saturday mornings led by Pastor Matt and benefiting greatly

2) What is new in your life since we last met that you’d like the others in the group to know?

Lynne Lee is a mother of 5 in England, certified life coach, avid two-way journaler, and Web 2.0 authority. As a result of Lynne asking to interview me on her inaugural webinar for her new Christian Life Coaching on Mar 3, I had 2 long and extremely valuable online strategy sessions with her in the past 2 weeks. As a result of that, I opened a KickStart (1shoppingcart) account 2 days ago to not only sell products, but to manage all my contact lists and handle all my autoresponders. I now have my free ebook and $77 version available there for purchase. I have substantially improved my Lead Generation and Sales pages.

I connected at the heart level with Debra Bosacki, an avid journaler for 29 years. As a result Jerry and I interviewed her on our “Experiencing God Through Journaling” webinar on Feb 24.Because of that, I discovered Xiosoft Audio. That has the best Sales page I have ever seen. Jesus told me to invite Debra to a Joint Venture opportunity to co-host weekly “Journaling Cafe” webinars at 3 pm EST on Thursdays starting in March.

I emailed Mark Virkler Jerry and my “Summary proposal for Joint Venture between Christian Leadership University and JIREH Marketing”

Through Jack Stagman, I connected with Chauncey Hutter, one of the leading marketplace ministers in the state of Virginia

I began helping Mike and Valerie Webb launch their marketing campaign via Web 2.0 for Great Outdoor Endeavors

The LORD revealed His assignment for Marching Through Culpeper to Virginia Morton and me – “Bringing truth, understanding, and reconciliation”

Through Twitter and my weekly webinars, I connected personally with Chicke Fitzgerald, perhaps the greatest connectors I have ever met

3) What’s a win or good thing that happened that you’d like to celebrate with us?

Dewey McDonnell’s daughter, Katherine, helped lead her team to a second straight ACC championship in swimming. Her IM relay team won first place and broke the all-time ACC record. Katherine won second place in the 100m breast stroke and third place in the 200m breast stroke. Dewey is part of the core team for Pray Culpeper.

Jesus told me to partner with Henry Blackaby, his son, and Lifeway Christina Resources to launch world-wide “Experiencing God Through Journaling” webinars! By combining online journaling, life coaching, and Web 2.0 with what they already are doing around the world, there will be Explosive Kingdom Impact.

GW Dameron, pastor of City on a Hill Church in Culpeper, found a new job after being laid off in Nov 2008.

4. What’s something that you might like to bring to the group this week?

a) Need continued prayer to complete my “UNCOMMON Journaling For Breakthroughs” ebook. Completing this will release a log jam of ideas and opportunities that God has been waiting to birth.
b) UNCOMMON Favor for webinar interview by Lynne Lee on Tues March 3
c) Need lots of prayer for God’s favor to effectively market “Experiencing God Through Journaling” webinars. That might well turn out to be my bread and butter business opportunity.

What would a healthy daily routine look like to you?
Have you written that down?

Yesterday’s webinar (web seminar) with Rev. Ron Davidson was awesome. What he had to share spoke so strongly to my spirit. Several times while Ron was sharing, my eyes flooded with tears. Ron has the heart of Jesus to serve the poor. While the group attending this webinar was quite small, every person was deeply impacted by what Ron had to say based on survey results. Every attendee made a commitment to make a donation to Gleaning for the World to benefit Operation Rescue Liberia.

Ron says, “A vision is not a business plan. In fact most visions if written as a business plan would not make sense. A vision is from God for the purpose of reaching people with Gods love so God’s receives the glory. A vision is not normal and is uncommon.” That message really spoke to me since my growth goal for my current Implementation coaching course is to develop a business plan for my web company.

Last night I went to bed at 10:30 PM and set my PDA alarm for 5:55 AM. Wouldn’t you know it, the Holy Spirit woke me up at 5:54 AM to formally begin my morning quiet time. This was less than one minute before my alarm went off. Mind you, it was dark and I had no clue what time it was.

While lying in bed and listening to my scheduled iTunes playlist for the day, the Holy Spirit gave me an instruction to make a slight but profound change to the wording for the gorgeous poster image on my computer desktop. JJ Phillips, my anointed graphics artist, designed that.

What was this profound yet simple change in wording? “The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine!” became “The secret of my future is hidden in my daily routine!” While this may seem insignificant to many people, the change was huge because the message became personal and I see it every day when I come to my computer. The Holy Spirit made it crystal clear to me that my simple desktop image and scripture is His business plan for me. To see this gorgeous custom image, visit today’s Link of the Day.

God has given me a huge vision and I won’t fulfill it by planning in detail. The Holy Spirit refuses to be put in a box. He’s much too great for that.

Prayer Power
O Holy Spirit, soul of my soul, I do adore thee. Thank You for enlightening, guiding, strengthening, and consoling me. Open the eyes of my readers today, speaking to them Spirit to spirit, to have them understand and apply today’s message to their own lives. Thank You Jesus, my King and my Redeemer! Amen and Hallelujah!

Link of the Day
Holy Spirit inspired poster image (business plan) for Dr. Randy Peck [see below]

Blessings to be men and women of “every day” like Dr. Jerry Falwell was!

UNCOMMON Opportunity
I am hosting another free webinar titled “UNCOMMON Internet Marketing Seminar” from Noon – 1 PM EDT on Wed March 19. This can be a huge blessing to your own network of friends and supporters.
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

“Character, in the long run, is the decisive factor in the life of an individual and of nations alike.” – Theodore Roosevelt

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate yourself in each of the 9 fruits of the Spirit?
How would those closest to you rate you in each of those 9 fruits?

Yesterday I became aware of several storms that are brewing. Storms in life are inevitable. Rick Warren says you are either in a storm, coming out of a storm, or getting ready to go into a storm. But the real question is, “How do you react when you’re in a storm?” Who or what is your rock? How can others tell?

It’s easy to be good and look good when most things seem to be going your way. But it’s during the tough times in your life or family – when things seem to be falling apart or blowing up – that the real you shows up. That’s when your true character manifests.

What character traits matter most? Clearly, based on Jesus’ teaching about the Greatest Commandment, love is the most important one – love of God first and foremost, and then love of neighbor and self. However, the other 8 fruits of the Spirit – joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control – are also very important.

What are some of the best ways to intentionally grow in the fruit of the Spirit? For me, rest, reflection, meditating on the Word of God, praying, journaling, coaching (accountability), and serving others are all helpful. The latter is extremely important. It’s the real deal. Taking my focus off myself and serving others allows me to manifest the love of God in tangible ways.

Booker T. Washington, American educator and civil rights activist (1856-1915), once said “Character, not circumstance, makes the person.” Ralph Waldo Emerson, American essayist, philosopher and poet (1803-1882) is quoted as saying, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.”

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for the storms you bring into my life and my family. Jesus, thank You for being my Rock – a firm foundation to stand on and trust. Thank You for being my good Shepherd who “makes me to lie down in green pastures and leads me beside the still waters (Psalm 23:2). Thank You for the opportunity and privilege to share my heart with those who read these messages. Bless them LORD. Have mercy on us! Thy will be done Jesus. Thy will be done! Amen and hallelujah!

Speak LORD, I love to listen to Your voice. See LORD, here I am!

The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. (Isaiah 11:2)

How much fruit of the Spirit are you manifesting?

According to Isaiah 11:2, there are at least six gifts of the Holy Spirit. These include wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and fear of the LORD. These gifts are freely available to us. That’s why they are called gifts. Reading God’s Word with an open mind and open heart is a very good way to receive these.

According to Galations 5:22-23, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. This list describes a Christian’s character. As we manifest these character traits more consistently, people will see more of Jesus in us. There is no word in here about being given the Midas touch for resolving all financial woes.

The Spirit works to change Christians so that they have the depth of character the Bible talks about. Fruit is not automatic or sudden. Like everything else in this broken world and its broken people, it’s something that arises in part, not completely, in this life. We are always “under construction.”

Each person in the Spirit has a different share of each fruit, and each fruit has a different shape in each person — but all the fruit will show themselves in each Christian as he or she goes deeper into their walk with the Spirit.

Prayer Power
Holy Spirit, thank You for the gifts You freely give us. Bless us to be still to be able to hear Your whisper and give us hearts to obey You. Bless the choices that we make so we will bear much fruit that will last for all of eternity. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

God has much more faith in you than you have in Him!

But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that. (1 Corinthians 7:7b)

What are your expectations for the remainder of 2007?
What are God’s expectations for you for the remainder of 2007?
How will you steward your time?

Today is graduation day for nearly 430 seniors at Culpeper High School. For each of these graduates, one chapter in the book of their life is closing and a new chapter is opening. This also applies to the parents of these graduates. For many this is a time of great expectations. For others, however, this is a time of despair and uncertainty about the future.

The top headline in today’s local newspaper reads “High Expectations – Gabe Werner follows in brother’s footsteps as valedictorian.” Because both of Gabe’s parents are physicians, I had the privilege to work with both of them at Culpeper Hospital for several years. And I know all four of their children.

“Being named valedictorian ‘serves as a nice recognition’ said Werner, who was also senior class president. ‘A lot of people don’t realize how hard you have to work in order to be this successful. To me, it’s a recognition of how much work I’ve put into school.’”

Achieving anything worthwhile takes hard work. It requires a commitment and then discipline to carry out that commitment. Consistency and perseverance are essential. The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning. We don’t know how many steps are required to reach our goals. We may encounter failure at the thousandth step, yet success may be hiding behind the next bend in the road.

Pastor Mark Jarvis, my good friend, has reminded me on several occasions: “The greater the assignment, the greater the adversity.”

Perhaps you feel like giving up. Perhaps you feel like you’re not making much of a difference. Perhaps you feel like your circumstances will never change. But we serve a God of hope, a God of victory. Know that God is on your side. And God plus one equals a majority. Spend time getting to know God better by reading the Bible and praying. He will reveal scriptures to encourage you.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, it’s so much easier to take on big challenges when we know You’re on our side. It’s so much easier to work when we’re doing our work as unto to the LORD. I pray a special blessing on each of our graduating seniors and their families. Bless them with joy and laughter and love that won’t let go. Bless them with Your peace that passes all understanding. And for those who are reading this message and feel depressed, I pray You will encourage them. May they sense Your presence and Your love. Thank You Jesus. I love You dearly. Amen.

How are you doing at fulfilling your role as comforter for your family?

If you want to be successful in business, your family must come first. Executives who value families more than their businesses have their priorities in correct order. Those executives are far more productive. Their creative energy is greater and they are far more relaxed and confident.

Today is day #3 in our series about “The Positive Family” by Arvella Schuller. Arvella credits Mrs. Norman Vincent Peale with helping set her priorities in right order. After 5 years of marriage, Arvella rearranged her priorities as follows: Husband first; children second; career third; music fourth; volunteer organizations fifth. Arvella says “What a difference this one major choice has made in my ability to relax in my daily scheduling decisions.”

No matter how absurd life around us may seem, it’s important not to lose site of four universal, unchangeable roles: God wants us to be comforters, companions, counselors, and committers for our own family.

COMFORTER: A changing world is a hurting world. Whenever there is change, there comes tremendous insecurity and fear. “How can I cope?” is a question we often hear. Husbands fear that wives will change and vise versa. Parents fear that children will change. Rule #1 as comforter is “Never be negative.” Rule #2: Let your family know what your priorities are and let them know they are first in your life. In being a comforter to your spouse, frequently ask yourself the question “What can I do that will comfort her/him?’”

COMPANION: When our family senses that we are each other’s comforters, they will see the next unchanging role – that of a companion. But a helpful companion must first be a comforter. Rule #1 of a companion is: Be available.

COUNSELOR: A changing world is also a confusing world, and so within the walls of a home, we need to be counselors to each other. Husbands counseling wives, wives counseling husbands, parents counseling children, and yes, children giving counsel to parents. None of us can succeed as counselor if we ignore the first two requisites of being a positive and loving comforter and companion.

Rule #1 for the counselor is: Be a good listener! What are they really saying? Rule #2 is: Always end a counseling moment with a compliment or a positive affirmation to your companion. Rule #3: Use the gift within you called “common sense.” Use your head and your heart will follow. Rule #4: Accept the counsel of your children and mate.

COMMITTER: A changing world is a chaotic world when there is no abiding commitment to each other. We need to be committed to our family members. Insecurity is the root cause of many of the problems that plague not only our families but all of society. Lack of commitment is a malignant cell that produces this cancer.

Prayer Power
Father, family is the basic building block of society. In this ever-changing world, help us to put and keep family first, ahead of work and volunteer activities. Guide us to be comforters, companions, counselors, and committers to those we love the most. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)

Pastor Mark Jarvis is the greatest soul winner I have ever personally known. I clearly remember the day in 2000 when he asked me “Randy, do you want to know how to share your faith?” When I answered “yes,” he asked “What are you trusting to get you into heaven?” When I told Mark that was a good question, he asked me what my answer was. That’s when I realized I didn’t have a good answer. Mark kindly showed me what the Book of Romans said about salvation. My life changed forever for the better because one man cared about my soul and was willing to ask me a profound question.

The most exciting day of my life came on January 6, 2001 when I said “Jesus, I commit my life to you!” In that magical moment, I stepped from a world of darkness into a world of light. By taking that simple step, I experienced my spiritual rebirth and the Holy Spirit made my body His holy temple. Until then, I never truly understand what it meant to “born again.”

Jesus answered and said to him (Nicodemus), “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (John 3:3-5)

While there are many ways to share your faith, here is one of the easiest and most effective. Ask these five simple, but profound questions. Listen to the person’s answers without disputing them.

1) Do you have any spiritual beliefs?
2) Who is Jesus to you?
3) Do you believe in heaven and hell?
4) If you died today, where would you go and why would God send you there?
5) If what you’re believing isn’t true, would you want to know it

After the person answers these questions, ask “Do you want to know God personally?” If the person says “yes,” then step the person through the four spiritual laws using one of those booklets. This is very easy for any Christian to do after just a little practice. It’s so exciting to watch the light switch on in someone’s life.

Prayer Power
Father, you say “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26) So many people I meet are caught up in the things of this world and don’t realize their souls are in jeopardy for all of eternity. Almost everywhere I go, the fields are white unto harvest and the people are like sheep without a shepherd. Bless me with a heart of compassion – to be a shepherd for them. Jesus, you say “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelations 3:20) If someone is reading this and doesn’t know You, may they hear Your voice and open the door of their heart. Thank You! Amen!

Ultimately, your thoughts become your destiny!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

It’s been said: “Beware of your thoughts because they become your words. Beware of your words, because they become your actions. Beware of your actions because they become your habits. Beware of your habits because they become your character. Beware of your character because it becomes your destiny.”

St. Paul warns us above to “bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” So how do we do that? One of the best ways is for us to guard what goes into our minds. Therefore, be careful what you choose to read, listen to, watch, etc. Clearly, to obey Jesus Christ, it’s necessary to know what He says. The best way to do that is to read the Bible regularly because Jesus is the Word of God (John 1).

God is much more interested in who you become (your character) that what you do for Him. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Galations 5:22-23)

Are you reading the Bible regularly to know Jesus and stay connected to Him?
Are you manifesting the fruit of the Spirit?

Prayer Power
Father, thank You for the power of Holy Spirit within me, which allows me to win the spiritual battles. I ask You to bless me with the mind of Christ. Bless those who read this message to carefully guard what they allow into their minds, so that they will ultimately manifest the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
