Most gracious and merciful heavenly Father, we praise You as the Master Communicator with the Master Plan. We thank You in Jesus’ name for the privilege and freedom to gather publicly to pray in faith to You, the God of the universe. We thank You for the precious gift of media to communicate with one another and now with people all around the world. Thank You for our local, state-wide, and national media and media leaders. We pray a blessing on them, their staffs, and their families. We ask you to bless our local newspapers, radio stations, TV stations, web developers, and many other types of media.

Father, we repent for the times we have used media in ungodly ways, for times we have shared words of death instead of life, words that created fear instead of love and hope, words of judgment rather than mercy, words that embarrassed rather than built up, words of blame rather than personal responsibility.

May the messages we share daily speak words of LFE, not death, into people’s lives. May our messages manifest Your mercy, love, joy, and peace. May they bring hope and encouragement to those who feel beaten down, helpless, and even hopeless. Bless our media leaders with Your wisdom and knowledge to know what the right things are to do and then the courage and conviction to do those, regardless of popularity. .

Father, we thank You for the Internet, Your supernatural highway of communication. Forgive us, Your children O God, for being a poor steward in using the web to heal broken hearts, meet the needs of desperate people, and shape culture. Forgive me, LORD, for not being a better steward of my time, talent, and treasure over the past few years.

Teach and guide us as a community to leverage the power of the web to share our God stories, products, and services with the world. Open our eyes of understanding as a community to use this #1 business tool of the 21st century to not only thrive in the marketplace, but to meet the needs of the poor, the widows, the orphans, the hungry, those in prison, and the persecuted. Protect us from the sins of greed and selfishness. Bless our media leaders with Your heart of compassion for those who are hurting and in need. Teach us LORD, to “Ask, Seek, and Knock.”

We bless You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And it’s in Your name, Yeshua, Jesus, the holy One of Israel, the living Lamb of God, the soon coming Lion of Judah we pray and give You glory, now and forever, amen and hallelujah!

How can you help support Christians in media?

I had hoped to launch my first BlogTalkRadio show today, but things didn’t work out as planned. It’s my goal to be doing a daily online radio show starting January 2 interviewing other people to share their God-given dreams and passions with the world.

When I shared my plans with Dr. Jerry Graham on Wed Dec 3, he told me about Art Linkletter. Art had a daily radio show that evolved into a daily TV show. Jerry told me Art was quoted as saying, “Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.”

According to Wikipedia, “Art Linkletter (born Gordon Arthur Kelly on July 17, 1912 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada) was the host of two of the longest-running shows in United States broadcast history.” Art was abandoned as an infant, adopted and raised by a preacher. He still is alive at the age of 96 and has had one of the longest marriages of any celebrity in America.

Jerry told me the hidden secret of radio interviews is to ask the people you are interviewing to submit questions to you beforehand. You don’t have to read their books.

Who do you know who is looking for great resources to be empowered?

Yesterday afternoon I had the privilege to speak for the first time to Karla Meachem, founder of “Empowering Christian Women.” In less than two months, Karla has had a major impact on my life and ministry. Because of Karla’s obvious love for Jesus, the Holy Spirit prompted me on several occasions recently to contact her to learn more about her dreams and goals and discover how I might be able to help her fulfill those.

Karla lives in small town (300 people) in Saskatchewan Canada (north of North Dakota). She was one of the first 30-50 people I connected to on Twitter. Her Twitter background (“Focus on Christ”) and tweets prompted me to check out the people she was following. That in turn led me to follow many of her contacts which led to lots of great connections. Of my 468 followers on Twitter, Karla is one of my favorite ones. Karla’s bold stand for Jesus encouraged me to be more bold in the Relationship Marketing (Web 2.0) arena.

After Karla and I got connected on Twitter, she began subscribing to Your Daily Blessing and inviting others to do so. I noticed she often clicked through hyperlinks I shared. As I saw her name pop up in my various reports, I prayed for her often. Clearly she has passion for others to come to know the love of Jesus.

Without me ever asking her to do so, Karla signed up for the JIREH Marketing Bronze Membership. She chose to sow a financial seed into God’s billion soul vision and become part of God’s Team Destiny. Since favor is proportional to God’s assignment, I believe Karla has stepped into a new place of great favor.

For several weeks (or perhaps longer), the Holy Spirit has been telling me over and over to start my own BlogTalkRadio show. While I wrote down to do that several times in my journal, somehow I kept allowing other things to distract me. While talking to Karla, the Holy Spirit told me to ask Karla for permission to interview her next week (Dec 2-4) on internet radio. She agreed. Thank You Jesus!

This morning I strongly sensed God wants Karla to be the very first person I interview on BlogTalkRadio. God is not only going to use Karla as a catalyst to help me launch a world-wide radio ministry, but for many others in my network and hers as well. Wow! It’s amazing what God can do through one person who is faithful to him.

Incidentally, Karla has plans to soon launch two new blogs, one to empower Christian men and another to empower Christian kids. If you want to connect to the shakers and movers on the web, Karla is definitely one of them. For my followers who are looking for resources to be empowered, I encourage you to subscribe to Karla’s awesome blog. For those who want to follow Karla on Twitter, her user name is karlameachem.

By the way, in tomorrow’s message for Thanksgiving Day, I’ll be sharing photos and highlights from yesterday’s Culpeper Community Thanksgiving Service. That was awesome. On Friday, November 28, the message will be “Where Are They?” – referring to the lack of authentic Christian blogs. That title comes from the latest blog post by Heather, one of Karla’s friends who is honoring Jesus in her struggle with brain cancer.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Karla Meachem and her love for You. Thank You for the way you are using an ordinary mom to do extraordinary things through the power of prayer and the web. Thank You that Karla is moving to a new place of great favor with You and man. Grant her the desires of her heart. In any areas of her life where she is struggling, help her to break through. How does one overcome a severe addiction?

For more than a year, I’ve been sharing an uncommon revelation from the Holy Spirit that the Internet is God’s supernatural highway of communication. I experienced this first hand as my own spiritual journey to salvation was closely tied to the web.

In yesterday devotional, I shared how God shouted to me “put away the evil” while I was “doing the dew” on the morning of Feb 10 and then Pastor Matt preached a corresponding outstanding message titled “Why Everyone Needs Negative Friends.” During Matt’s sermon, Lynndey Reid came on stage to share her personal testimony of how God helped her overcome a severe addiction. As Lynndey authentically shared her powerful story of God’s grace and mercy, my eyes flooded with tears. Here is an excerpt from the end of Lynndey’s testimony:

“We knew we couldn’t fix ourselves and the only one that could restore us as individuals and our marriage & family was the Lord.  We came back in October 2006 determined to recommit our lives to the Lord.  In January we both started attending Life Groups – we knew we needed to connect with other believers.  We were still struggling with the alcohol but the Lord is so gracious.  Because we turned back to Him, He met us every step of the way.  We became desperate to get rid of the control that alcohol had over our lives.

We missed one Sunday when Randy Peck shared, but we listened to the MP3 message [downloaded from the web]. We ended up listening to it three times and all we heard was the power of prayer, fasting, and studying the Word.  We fasted for our first time the next Friday which ended up being our first Friday in 3 years without alcohol.  During that day we didn’t feel like anything was happening, but the Lord moved – and broke the chains of addiction in our lives.  Drinking was once the focus of our lives but Praise God it no longer has control over us.

James 5:19 says:
Brethren if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

If you have a friend who is wandering – don’t shy away from speaking the truth of God’s love into their lives & praying for them.  Also, we never know where someone is when they come through the church doors.  They may be like Chris & I were – at the end of their rope.  You welcomed us and we can’t thank you enough.  Let us always be a body of believers with the arms of Jesus open wide.”

God is sovereign – over everything. He is the Master at taking things meant for evil and turning them into good. In my devotional on November 1 titled “Uncommon Joy in Sorrow,” I mentioned that God used my computer crash on October 22 to open the door for me to spend 4 hours with Ted Baehr 3 days later.

While I was chauffeuring Ted around, he talked and surfed the net using his laptop in the car. It was obvious to me that Ted has a tremendous desire to learn, grow, and empower people. He is a networker of the largest networks.

When I talked to Ted about the value in posting videos on YouTube, he showed me GodTube, the Christian answer to YouTube. It’s one of the hottest sites on the Internet.  I didn’t even know such a thing existed until Ted showed me.

Here are some of the things I learned from the Flash animation on the home page of GodTube.com this morning:

1) GodTube.com ranked #1 among the fastest growing websites in the U.S. at a growth of 973 percent. Do you know what you are missing?

2) God Tube is the best way to connect with other believers.

3) Pastors and churches can stream their messages LIVE all over the world.

4) God Tube is honored to support Te Christian Alliance for Orphans with Cry for the Orphans.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the vision that You gave the founders of GodTube. Thank You that Your children are reclaiming the Internet, which You already redeemed 2,000 years ago with the blood of the Lamb. Show me how best to empower and network this tremendous network of believers. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

Early in 2006, God gave me two powerful revelations:          
1) The Internet is God’s superhighway of communication!
2) A daily prayer email (when done properly) is the number one way to grow your network and build strong relationships.

Let me share a very concrete example. On December 6, I sent the devotional titled “The Spiritual Significance of 400 Years.” The Holy Spirit woke me up at 1:30 AM that morning to download His message. After preparing that devotional, the Holy Spirit sent me to Giles Memorial Hospital in time to replace a different devotional that had previously been scheduled to go out at 5 AM.

Later that same evening (8:10 PM), Ray Boetcher sent me an email reply telling me he enjoyed reading my inspirational messages each day and that he enjoyed my message on the significance of 400 years. I had forgotten that Ray was even on my devotional list.

The first and only time I had met Ray was at the Founder’s Inn in Virginia Beach on August 27-28, 2006 during the Leadership Roundtable, cosponsored by the International Coalition of Workplace Ministries [www.icwm.net] and Regent University [www.regent.edu].

Ray is the owner of a Christian newspaper in the Virginia Beach area and leads the Christian Business Network there. I learned from Ray’s email that he has a lead role with two monumental events in 2007 – The Assembly 2007 [www.theassembly2007.org] in late April 2007 and the Greater Hampton Roads Franklin Graham Festival in May 2007. Until I received Ray’s email I didn’t know anything about those.

Prayer Power
Father, thank You for these daily prayer devotionals and for the hundreds of powerful testimonies and connections that I have received. Thank You for keeping me connected with Ray Boetcher through the devotionals. Thank You for Ray’s deep love for You and for his leadership in the Greater Hampton Roads area.
