Title: If You Dare To Care Then Share
Description: Q&A Session (FREE Webinar) For 8-Week Web 2.0 Course
Course title: Establish A Powerful Online Presence
Date/Time: Tuesday September 15, 2009, Noon EST and again at 8 pm EST
Hosts: Dr. Randy Peck, Dr. Jerry Graham
Guest Panelists: Karen Hannon, Bob Sims, Renato Amato

If you dare to care, then share !
If you share, pay heed !!
God will reward every good deed !!!

Those are the lyrics to a poem written by Hugh Traulsen in the 1980′s titled “Caring / Sharing.” He dedicated that poem to his wife Ann after she died from a rare form of lung cancer in 2007.

I first got connected to Hugh on July 4, 2009, FREEDOM day in America when we celebrate the birth of our nation. On that historic morning, I discovered the most profound voice message of my life from Hugh. Hugh’s message led me to promptly call him and God immediately connected our hearts.

Even though Hugh has very little money and is disabled, he has turned out to be one of my greatest blessings of 2009. Through Hugh, I got connected to Karen Hannon.

Karen opened the door for me to do two live seminars in Glen Allen (Richmond) Virginia on Sept 1 titled “Establish A Powerful Online Presence.” The purpose is to inspire people to share their stories, products, and services with the world. That’s my God-given gift – CONNECTING.

Karen was the very first person to sign up for our 8-week online Web 2.0 course that starts tonight called “Establish A Powerful Online Presence.” And she is bringing along with her a herd of followers.

Today at Noon EST and again at 8 pm EST, Dr. Jerry Graham and I are hosting a free live Q&A session (webinar) to answers questions about the 8-week course. We have 3 guests on our call, including Karen Hannon (Richmond, VA), Bob Sims (Austin, TX), and Renato Amato (Italy).

CLICK HERE to reserve your seat for this life-changing webinar at 8 pm EST (New York), 5 pm PST (California), 1 am BST (London)

This Q&A session and the Web 2.0 Course are for YOU if…

1) you are tired of being the best kept secret in your field
2) you are looking for a way to get your message out BIG
3) you want to use your expertise to make GREAT MONEY
4) you want to sell without being salesy
5) you are done thinking about going big and are ready to TAKE ACTION!

Web 2.0+++ is at least 100x more powerful than Web 1.0 (a traditional website). What this means for you is every hour you spend using Web 2.0 strategically is equivalent to at least 100 hours you spend with traditional marketing. And every dollar you spend on Web 2.0 equates to at least $100 for traditional marketing.

Share the wealth by inviting your friends and followers to the free Q&A session. Even if you are not available, by registering you will receive free access to our recorded audio.

Blessings to dare to care and share your stories with the world!

Randy Peck, M.D.
“Blessed to be a blessing”

“The Persecution Project Foundation was founded for the express purpose of collecting and disseminating information about the worldwide incidence of Christian persecution, with particular focus on Africa.”

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” (Psalm 46:1,2)

What will you do to help this 4 year old desperate girl?

On Friday December 19, Ed Lyons called to ask me for Rick Heeren’s contact info to pass on to a supporter of the Persecution Project Foundation (PPF). When I asked Ed for an update on his life, I learned that he recently returned from a mission trip to Sudan.

Ed then went on to share a story of a 4 year old, 15 pound girl (baby Abuk) in Darfur, Sudan that he helped snatch from death. According to Ed, God must have a big plan for this girl because she has been “rescued from death, time and time again.” After hearing Ed’s story, I was so touched I asked Ed to repeat it so I could record it and then share it with others.

The 9 minute audio file with Ed’s story can be found online at today’s Link of the Day. While visiting the PPF website this morning, I came across an excellent YouTube video with an interview of Brad Phillips (Founder of the PPF) by Howard Phillips, Brad’s father and Chairman of The Conservative Caucus since 1974. I have put that at today’s Link of the Day as well.

While none of us can change the world by ourselves, together we can make a difference in this one girl’s life in Sudan. Therefore, I’m rallying my troops to ask for your support in making a Christmas donation to the PPF. To do so, follow these 3 simple steps:

1) Visit http://persecutionproject.org
2) Click on “Contribute to the Persecuted Church”
3) Enter your billing info. Choose “Darfur” under “Which of our funds should we apply your contribution to?”

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank for the Persecution Project Foundation and the big difference that organization is making in lives of tens of thousands of displaced refugees in Sudan. Thank You for sending Ed Lyons to rescue baby Abuk, the tiny 4 year old girl. Continue to bless and protect Abuk. May you stir the hearts of my followers to rally behind this girl and the PPF. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

“So if the Son sets you FREE, you will be FREE INDEED. ~ John 8:36 NIV

Who do you know who is looking for great resources to be empowered?

Yesterday afternoon I had the privilege to speak for the first time to Karla Meachem, founder of “Empowering Christian Women.” In less than two months, Karla has had a major impact on my life and ministry. Because of Karla’s obvious love for Jesus, the Holy Spirit prompted me on several occasions recently to contact her to learn more about her dreams and goals and discover how I might be able to help her fulfill those.

Karla lives in small town (300 people) in Saskatchewan Canada (north of North Dakota). She was one of the first 30-50 people I connected to on Twitter. Her Twitter background (“Focus on Christ”) and tweets prompted me to check out the people she was following. That in turn led me to follow many of her contacts which led to lots of great connections. Of my 468 followers on Twitter, Karla is one of my favorite ones. Karla’s bold stand for Jesus encouraged me to be more bold in the Relationship Marketing (Web 2.0) arena.

After Karla and I got connected on Twitter, she began subscribing to Your Daily Blessing and inviting others to do so. I noticed she often clicked through hyperlinks I shared. As I saw her name pop up in my various reports, I prayed for her often. Clearly she has passion for others to come to know the love of Jesus.

Without me ever asking her to do so, Karla signed up for the JIREH Marketing Bronze Membership. She chose to sow a financial seed into God’s billion soul vision and become part of God’s Team Destiny. Since favor is proportional to God’s assignment, I believe Karla has stepped into a new place of great favor.

For several weeks (or perhaps longer), the Holy Spirit has been telling me over and over to start my own BlogTalkRadio show. While I wrote down to do that several times in my journal, somehow I kept allowing other things to distract me. While talking to Karla, the Holy Spirit told me to ask Karla for permission to interview her next week (Dec 2-4) on internet radio. She agreed. Thank You Jesus!

This morning I strongly sensed God wants Karla to be the very first person I interview on BlogTalkRadio. God is not only going to use Karla as a catalyst to help me launch a world-wide radio ministry, but for many others in my network and hers as well. Wow! It’s amazing what God can do through one person who is faithful to him.

Incidentally, Karla has plans to soon launch two new blogs, one to empower Christian men and another to empower Christian kids. If you want to connect to the shakers and movers on the web, Karla is definitely one of them. For my followers who are looking for resources to be empowered, I encourage you to subscribe to Karla’s awesome blog. For those who want to follow Karla on Twitter, her user name is karlameachem.

By the way, in tomorrow’s message for Thanksgiving Day, I’ll be sharing photos and highlights from yesterday’s Culpeper Community Thanksgiving Service. That was awesome. On Friday, November 28, the message will be “Where Are They?” – referring to the lack of authentic Christian blogs. That title comes from the latest blog post by Heather, one of Karla’s friends who is honoring Jesus in her struggle with brain cancer.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for Karla Meachem and her love for You. Thank You for the way you are using an ordinary mom to do extraordinary things through the power of prayer and the web. Thank You that Karla is moving to a new place of great favor with You and man. Grant her the desires of her heart. In any areas of her life where she is struggling, help her to break through. Thank You Jesus. Amen and hallelujah!

Blessings to be inspired and encouraged to live a VICTORIOUS LIFE in Christ!

“The FCA has had a greater impact on me than any other ministry in my life!” – Dr. Randy Peck

fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (Philippians 2:2)

Are you willing to pray for favor for the FCA for one week? One month?

As mentioned in my devotional on November 20, November 18 was the best day of 2008 for me. One of my highlights for that day was attending the annual FCA Fundraising banquet in Fredericksburg VA. During that banquet, God rekindled the fire in my heart to bless the FCA and teens, especially in Culpeper and Virginia.

The banquet room at the Holiday Inn Express in Central Park was full with about 400 people. Julia and I were blessed to be seated at a table near the stage where the speakers were, so I was able to get some good photos. We were also blessed to be seated with Randi Jones (the area rep for the Prince William area, which includes Culpeper), Larry Dix (an FCA Board member), and David Davies (VP of Stewardship and Gift Planning from the national FCA office).

One of the things that impressed me the most was what God is doing at Mountain View High School in Stafford County, VA. A group of 5 students from that school came on stage to play and sing an awesome worship song for the entire audience. That is something they do every Wednesday morning at school. Wow! Then two other students from Mountain View shared what the FCA has meant to them. One of the head football coaches shared his perspective.

But what struck me the most was the foundation for all the Kingdom successes at Mountain View, namely intercessory prayer. A mother of a Mountain View student shared her story of how God took a family disaster and turned it around for His glory. She told how her son was so rebellious and making horrible choices in 9th grade that were going to take him out.

That drove this lady to her knees. She had never understood the power of prayer before that. As a result of her prayers, God connected her to a lady who connected her to the head football coach at Mountain View. That coach ministered to her son on the football team. Eventually her son committed his life to Christ and now he’s serving the LORD.

One of the first things this lady did to break through was ask for the email addresses of all the parents of the football players. She then sent an email asking for volunteers to pray for the team. While she received several unfriendly replies, 4 other people stepped forward to pray. Now that intercessory team has grown to about 60 people.

Imagine what’s possible if a few parents in every school in America do something similar – form their own intercessory teams.

The keynote speaker for the evening was Bob Jones, a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He played 4 years in the NBA for the Denver Nuggets and 8 years for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was named to the All-Defensive Team first team for 10 of his 12 season. He received the John Wooden Award in 2005, recognizing him for his character and contributions both on and off the court.

As I was soaking in the wonders of God during this FCA banquet, I was reminded that the FCA had a greater impact on me than any other ministry in my life. Being exposed to the FCA Bible in the Fall of 2001 led me to start the habit of daily journaling on January 1, 2002. Journaling eventually evolved to become the lead domino for my life. Several times I have had Jesus tell me, “Coaching people to journal to hear Me is your sweet spot.”

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for the FCA and the blessing that wonderful organization has been to me personally as well as to my family and our local community. Thank You for Kerry O’Neill and his godly leadership as the Director of the Fredericksburg Area FCA. Grant Kerry and the FCA UNCOMMON favor with You and man to soar to new heights for Jesus! Show them how to harness the power of the web to communicate their messages and allow students to share their God stories with the world. Thank You Jesus. Amen and hallelujah!

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. (Matthew 9:29)

Have you shaken off the settler mentality?
What does a God-scripted existence look like?

A few weeks ago, the Lord gave me the word “transition” while I was taking a shower. I knew at that moment the word applied to Ben Stewart, but little did I realize it also applied to me. When I wrote the Chase the Lion series, I thought the Holy Spirit was having me write that primarily for you. Now I realize, He was building up my courage as well. And now I’m doing an unplanned series titled “When God Writes Your Life Story.” This is more about experiencing the ultimate adventure.

According to Erick and Leslie Ludy, “God created us as little kids with a passion for impossible things. But He never intended for us to have that passion stripped away as we grew into adulthood. He wants us to believe in Him, the God of the impossible. He wants us to expect Him to be as large as He says He is an as capable as He claims to be. God created us for adventure, for passion, and for pioneering… As Christians, we are meant to have an insatiable appetite for God, seeking Him as a miner searches for gold.

I’ve come to discover that journaling is a great way to write down my God stories as they unfold. But it’s sharing these (through e-devotionals and my blog) that allows God’s new and fresh living waters to continue to flow into and out of my life to bless other people. It is my hope that sharing my God stories will encourage you to do something similar. It’s fun – kind of like being the Samaritan woman at the well every day telling people you know about this “Jesus guy.”

In yesterday’s message, I talked about my top five contacts for the past four years. I mentioned that Rick Heeren, Jerry Graham, and Ben Stewart were three of them. But it wasn’t until August 16, a day of supernatural convergence, that I realized that my top new contacts for 2006 and 2008 were Joseph Umidi and Debra Thompson Roedl, respectively.

During 2007, my first ever year of Sabbath rest (sabbatical), the two best things that happened to me were meeting Jerry and starting my Lifeforming Leadership Coaching (LLC) training, both on June 1. By far, the LLC training has been my favorite (and most transformational) training of my life. This says a lot because as a physician I have had lots of training.

Joseph Umidi is co-founder and president of Lifeforming Leadership Coaching. I first met him at the Founder’s Inn in Virginia Beach in last August 2006 when I attended the International Coalition of Workplace Ministries conference led by Os Hillman, former President of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce. It was through my daily devotionals that I managed to stay in touch with Joseph. It was in early 2006, the Holy Spirit revealed to me that a daily email with short stories of changed lives and a prayer was the number one way to grow my network and build strong relationships.

Joseph first came to Culpeper in December 2006 for our first ever “Healthy Virginia” meeting. In January 2007, he came back to lead a “Real Talk” seminar. That gave me practical exposure to how “coaching” works and how effective it is to change lives. In the past few weeks, I have been in frequent communication with Joseph about forming an alliance because he thinks that what Jerry and I are doing to combine journaling and destiny coaching in small groups over the web is a key to exponential growth of transformational coaching. Joseph stresses the importance for people to learn to hear God’s voice.

I first learned about Debra on July 1 when Michael Pink, head of the Christian Business Directory, hosted a webinar with Debra as the main speaker. After hearing Debra share her background and what she does, I immediately signed up for her 8 week Bullseye Marketing course. While that’s not cheap, it is so worth it. As a result of Debra’s training, my web team is now rolling out a series of products, courses, and memberships to market. I’ll share more about Debra tomorrow. Stay tuned. You don’t want to miss that.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank you my UNCOMMON connections to Joseph Umidi and Debra Roedl. Bless them, their families, their businesses, and their networks. Take them to a much a higher level through UNCOMMON alliances. May they choose to play a vital role in Team Destiny, your team to be a catalyst to save one billion souls. Thank You Jesus. Amen and hallelujah!

What is the most memorable day you have had in the past year?
What made that so?

Yesterday evening I participated in a commissioning and prayer service for Rev. Sam Reeves at the Culpeper United Methodist Church. Each person there had a chance to publically share with Sam what he has meant to him/her personally. It was clear that Sam has had a huge ripple effect affecting many lives and many communities.

When it was my turn to share, the Holy Spirit prompted me to say, “December 18, 2007 was a turning point, not only in my life and Sam Reeves’ life, but also for Culpeper, Virginia, and the nation of Liberia.” That was the day I met Sam at the monthly Culpeper Ministerial Association meeting. I had just come back from a week long anesthesia conference in Manhattan (NYC) and had 700+ Christmas cards to get out in the next few days, so the last thing I wanted was something new on my plate. But God’s plans always trump our plans.

The only reason I went to that Culpeper Ministerial Association meeting was to honor Pastor Randy Orndorff for his 2 years of wonderful community leadership as President. When I arrived, there was only one seat left and that was next to Sam. I didn’t know who Sam was. Then Pastor Randy introduced David Bean. When David shared his God story of how God audibly told him to “Covenant with him (Sam),” my spiritual radar went up. Then when Sam shared his story and the history of Liberia, I knew God wanted me to help Sam communicate his message via the web.

Amazing things have happened as a result of helping Sam and Rim of Grace Ministries / Operation Rescue Liberia. When Rev. Ron Davidson was hosting the webinar to bless Sam, he appropriately chose the title “Experience the Miracle.” As a result of blessing Sam and Operation Rescue Liberia, I have met and got connected to so many neat people and gone to many new places. My visit to the Liberia Embassy on May 16 was just icing on the cake.

On April 19, 2008, I received what I consider the most significant award of my life, the “2008 Servant’s Heart Award,” a gorgeous plaque from Rim of Grace Ministries / Operation Rescue Liberia “In Recognition of your Commitment, Enthusiasm, and Love for the Work of our Lord Jesus Christ and the People of Liberia.”

This evening (May 29), Sam leaves Virginia to fly back to Liberia. He’s returning back to his homeland after a 15 year stay in the United States. Despite numerous trials, Sam has persisted and remained a man of prayer and ministry of the Word of God. He is an inspiration to those who know him well.

On the home page of the Rim of Grace website we now have an official Proclamation from the mayor of Culpeper, a letter of endorsement from Gov. Tim Kaine, and a video interview of the Honorable Edwin F. Sele, Deputy Ambassador of Liberia. In his interview, the Honorable Sele assures us that Madam President of Liberia will come to Virginia. All this has taken place since just February 2008. God is up to something big – really big. “Experience the Miracle” yourself by getting involved to bless Liberia. Now is the time.

If you have never read the official Proclamation by Mayor Rimeikis or watched the interview of the Honorable Sele, I encourage you to visit today’s Link of the Day to do so. Let the Holy Spirit speak to you Spirit to spirit.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, I am truly humbled that You invited me to experience the miracle of blessing Liberia. I didn’t even know what continent that country was on just 6 months ago and now I plan to visit in March 2009 for the crusade that is scheduled. Thank You for crossing my path with Rev. Sam Reeves. He has been such a blessing to me and I’m really going to miss having him in Culpeper. Bless Sam’s trip back to Liberia. Bless his financial and prayer supporters. Open the gates of heaven so wide for Rim of Grace Ministries that there are not enough “barns” to store all the blessings. Thank You Jesus. We love You. Amen and Hallelujah.

A new day is dawning when the Internet will be reclaimed by those who manifest excellence in their work and the love of God in their relationships.

How are you going to share your UNCOMMON message with the world?

I’ve said over and over again that the Internet is God’s supernatural highway of communication. Today’s story is a testimony of how God is using the web to open doors to new nations for me.

In January 2008, Jerry Graham referred me to Robert Hartzell, founder of Fountains of Life. While Robert already had a website, he recognized it needed a major upgrade. Robert also wanted to integrate email marketing into his website and to begin a web store. Robert said the main thing that attracted him to me is my gifting to POWER network God’s army.

Robert has done an amazing job growing in his use of the web. It’s incredible how quickly he grasped the concepts and ran with them. After I set Robert up with a blog, he began posting entries using his monthly newsletters from the past 10 years. That moved Fountains of Life into the top 10 with Google for several keyword searches that were important for people to find Robert and his ministry.

While Robert lives in Florida and I have never met him in person, he has turned out to be a tremendous blessing to me, helping me grow in several areas of my life. In addition, he is now connecting me to other prominent Christian leaders. Over time, we have developed a covenant relationship.

On March 4, 2008, I hosted my very first “Uncommon Internet Marketing Seminar.” That was followed up with two more, March 19 and April 1. I have seen fruit almost immediately from each of those.

Before my webinar on April 1, I did minimal advertising. One thing I did do was ask Robert to use his new email marketing system to invite his contacts. One of the people who responded to Robert’s bulk email was Steve Cobb.

Near the end of my webinar, I asked the question, “Who is my target audience?” My answer:
Visionaries – People with God-sized visions
Christian leaders who want to change the world
People with large established networks
Teachable leaders willing to be coached
Leaders seeking covenant relationships

I then presented an UNCOMMON opportunity and shared Bill Gates (Microsoft) quote – “If we don’t act on a good idea within 24 hours, we are less than 50% likely to ever act on it. If we haven’t acted on it inside of days, then we are less than 2% likely to ever act on it.”

Well Steve Cobb didn’t let the opportunity pass by. Within one hour, he sent me a long, well-written email. Here is an excerpt from that:

“I want to thank you for your helpful webinar and Robert Hartzell for inviting me.

I’m the President and National Director of the Institute of Theology by Extension in Guatemala (www.inste.org). At the end of your seminar you described 4 characteristics of people you like to relate with and I identified with all four (depending on how much of a financial investment it would mean). I liked very much the point about life-time clients and I have a few of them, and would like very much to get closer and more personal with them, as well as add new ones.

Helen and I have been missionaries in Latin America for 32 years (Costa Rica 1, Honduras 9, Ecuador 10 and Guatemala 12 years). We’ve given ourselves mainly to leadership training in a formal educational environment. INSTE is professional theological education with an informal modality. We’ve raised up 4 Bible School in 3 nations and trained a lot of wonderful men and women. So we have two sides to out internet communications — the Spanish side and the English side. We probably have close to a 1000 friends in Latin America and under 100 in the States.”

Subsequently, my web team helped Steve upload his marketing video and get a blog going. In the past month Steve has already made 27 posts to his blog. This past Tuesday (May 6), Steve got connected to Jerry Graham and Ben Stewart when he participated in our inaugural Web Mastermind Team meeting. Jerry and Ben both offered to help Steve further. Wow! It’s so beautiful when the Body of Christ functions the way God intends with each “joint supplying.”

Prayer Power
Most gracious and merciful Father, thank You for connecting me to awesome leaders like Jerry Graham, Ben Stewart, Robert Hartzell, and Steve Cobb in the past year. Bless each of them, their families, and their ministries. Thank You for Your promise in Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” We bless and honor You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen and Hallelujah!

What are the consequences of neglecting this responsibility?

In my devotional on May 5, I talked about feeding the hungry. Today, we’ll discuss another of Jesus’ core ministries – visiting those in prison.

As mentioned yesterday, I was in New York City for the awesome Provision Network Leadership Summit that took place on May1-3. While I heard several very accomplished speakers, I was particularly struck by the message of Mike Barber. Mike is the most effective speaker I have ever heard talk about prison ministry. Mike’s humility and authenticity as he shared stories and prison statistics profoundly impacted me.

I was surprised to learn that the prison industry is the fastest growing industry in the world. Mike pointed out that very few pastors encourage their congregations to visit prisoners. Mike emphasized that unless we effectively address the prisoner issue very soon, our society is going to experience drastic and dire consequences. He showed statistics to confirm that.

Mike is a former professional football player, having played tight end for the Houston Oilers (now Tennessee Titans) and Los Angeles Rams. One day while he was still playing pro football, Mike visited a prison with one of his friends. Mike had no intention of looking at or talking to any of the inmates, but God had other plans. After making eye contact with a few inmates, Mike’s heart began to change.

Now Mike has ministered to prisoners for 28 years, with the last 22 years being full-time after he retired from the NFL. Mike is extremely passionate about what he does. He has visited about 3,000 prisons around the world. Mike says that what makes his prison ministry unique and highly successful is “cell-to-cell” visits by large groups of counselors who go in two by two.

What has Culpeper been doing with its population of prisoners? Come find out on Tuesday May 13 from 10 AM – 3 PM at Culpeper Baptist Church when the Culpeper Re-Entry Program (CRP) is formally introduced to our community. The mission of CRP is to reduce the recidivism (inmates returning to jail and/or prison after being set free) rate in our area.

For over a year, a committee made up of Culpeper Human Services, Probation and Parole, Champion Learning Centers and other volunteers have been working together to assist inmates and their families, as they transition back into our community. The CRP is asking educators, business leaders, government leaders, court officials, probation officers, clergy, churches and families to join together in making Culpeper a brighter light to Virginia.

There is no fee for this forum, but registration is required by May 12. To register, send an email to mark@championlearningcenters.org or call Rev. Mark Jarvis at 540-229-1195.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for Mike Barber and the huge impact he has had on prisons around the world. Bless that ministry to grow and multiply in Virginia and other states. Thank You for Rev. Mark Jarvis and the Culpeper Re-Entry Program. Bless their event on May 13. May our community embrace those people who minister to prisoners. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Extraordinary things for the world are always accomplished by great teams. Last week I attended the Provision Network (PVN) Leadership Summit that took place in New York City on May 1-3. That was awesome. Every speaker and participant was passionate about Jesus and helping one another. One of the primary reasons I went was to meet Dan Stratton, affectionately known as the pastor of Wall Street, and Lance Wallnau. My wife and two close friends highly recommended I go. So many new blessings came out of this.

Each day at the Summit, Dan had a few extremely accomplished marketplace leaders share their stories and huge visions. The first main speaker was Kevin McGovern. Kevin is Chairman and CEO of McGovern Capital LLC, which provides Intellectual Property Rights Strategy, and originates, structures and implements capital formation, joint ventures and business alliances. Recently, Cornell University selected Kevin as its worldwide 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year. Kevin is playing the lead role in The Water Initiative to solve the world-wide water crisis. In doing so, Kevin is addressing the world problem of water-born diseases, which kill more people all other top diseases combined.

Lance Wallnau, Director of the Lance Learning Centers, spoke twice. He is the world leader in the “Reclaiming the Seven Mountains” initiative. Lance is the person that national and international leaders call upon when they need a breakthrough or clarity on their next step.

Mike Barber, a former standout tight end in the NFL, shared his phenomenal story about his prison ministry called Mike Barber Ministries. Mike has had a weekly television show on Trinity Broadcast Network for 20 years promoting this ministry. After hearing Mike, I think he might well be the “Superbowl Champion” of prison ministry in the world. I’ll share more about Mike and prison ministry tomorrow.

Ed Rollins shared his incredible story. Ed served four U.S. Presidents (Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and George H. W. Bush) including two tours of duty at the highest level of the White House as Assistant to the President. He was one of President Reagan’s closest friends and played a major role in President Reagan deciding to run for re-election in 1984. Ed is best known for managing President Reagan’s landslide re-election campaign in 1984.

Other stories shared by PVN Board members, state chapter leaders, and PVN members blew me out of the water. In my opinion, the PVN Leadership Summit has opened more doors for me than any other networking gathering I have ever been to. While I already was a member of the PVN, I am now certain that I want to bless the PVN and help get a PVN chapter started in Virginia. For those of you in the marketplace who want to be leaders in your field, I encourage you to explore the PVN.

Since starting daily prayer calls for the PVN in August 2007, Dan Stratton has begun experiencing major breakthroughs in his ministry. Several people at the PVN Leadership Summit told me how great an impact those prayer calls had on them personally. I participated in two of those prayer calls in April and was extremely impressed. Typically, about 50-70 people are participating daily from 15-20 states. What Dan is doing with these prayer calls is a simple and great model for every ministry. Here’s how you can connect with a PVN prayer call.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for Dan Stratton and the vision you gave him for the Provision Network. Thank You for directing my path to get me to the PVN Leadership Summit. Thank You for every speaker and participant I met. Bless me to be a good steward with every relationship You established. Bless me to be a blessing to the PVN. Bless the start of a Virginia PVN chapter. Bless the PVN with their greatest year ever by far in 2008. Thank You Jesus. To God be all the glory. Amen and hallelujah.

What ingredients are necessary for intimacy in marriage?

This morning, my spirit is jumping for joy. I am overwhelmed by the goodness of God. He has used the daily e-prayer messages of my web clients to sow life into me, my family, and my ministry, as well as many others. Through the daily efforts and seed casting of other people, God has multiplied my efforts to bless thousands of families now on a daily basis. I am so thankful.

On March 24, Jerry Graham sent a Daily Gram titled “The Big Mo” talking about momentum. Because that so inspired me, I did a devotional on April 3 titled, “Momentum – a Leader’s Best Friend.” While visiting GodTube for that Link of the Day, I came across an outstanding video message by Darcy & Tim Kimmel titled “Godly Advice to Get the Romance Back in Your Marriage.” Tim is President of Family Matters [www.familymatters.net].

Here are some notes from the GodTube video with Darcy and Tim:

Love is like anything. It has to maintained. It will deteriorate if you don’t pay attention to it.

Here are four basic ingredients in the recipe for romance:

1) Time: Spend quality time with one another. Heart connection takes time. Make sure you are spending quality time with one another – talking, doing things you enjoy, investing in one another.

2) Tenderness: This is the way to say “I Love You” dozens of times each day without even saying a word. Be kind to one another. Respect one another. Compliment one another. Show appreciation to another.

3) Tenacity: Married life is not always fun. You’ve got to hang in there through tough times. This is about resolving conflict, setting united goals for the future, being on the same page with the kids and grand-kids. This has to be a priority of your married life. Sex and intimacy is why people get married.

4) Temperature: You have to have a way of turning up the heat in your relationship. Reclaim your bedroom for sex. Keep dating each other. Get rid of distractions (e.g. TV, computer). Plan better – passion takes planning. You might have to plan to get away with one another.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for all the people You use as vessels to sow into our lives. Thank You for Darcy and Tim Kimmel and their powerful message about romance. Bless them and Family Matters. Help those of us who are married to use the four ingredients necessary in the recipe for romance. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
