“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Today was another historical day of taking a stand for the WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT. Team destiny hosted their final of three WFJ (Words From Jesus) webinars in December 2009 called “The Miracle of Christmas.”

Dr. Joseph Peck served as the global connector and host of this webinar. The guest panelists were: Deb Smith, Richard Mayhan, Bertha Hinson, and me, Abigail Slocum. Clearly the Holy Spirit took control of the webinar before it ever started and never let go!

He began by waking me up at 3:22 AM to give me this prophetic word – WFJ: THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS IS CHRIST! It was His way of orchestrating the whole focus for the discussion. These are the questions we covered:

WFJ: THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS IS CHRIST!

Take the tour of the Word and be free in Christ. CHRISTMAS IS A SEASON FOR MIRACLES BUT EVERY DAY IS A MIRACLE IN CHRIST! TO BE IN CHRIST IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL.

SALVATION IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL. It is God’s free gift to all mankind. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall be saved (have eternal life).(John 3:16).

What is so miraculous is that SALVATION IS THE “GREAT EXCHANGE!” MAN GIVES GOD HIS IMPERFECT, BROKEN, SINFUL LIFE IN EXCHANGE FOR A PERFECT (COMPLETE) LIFE IN CHRIST. JESUS GIVES HIS ALL FOR OUR ALL!

When you receive Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, the LIGHT OF THE WORLD – THE CANDLE OF MAN, comes into your heart to show you the most excellent way of all to live. IT IS THE WAY OF LOVE BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE.

In this “GREAT EXCHANGE,” your old sinful man dies and the new man comes alive in Christ. CHRIST LIVES THROUGH YOU to live the perfect will of God which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17).

Unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is your inheritance as a born again child of God. IT IS A LIFE OF VICTORY AND TOTAL PROVISION. To be one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is to be free from every bondage of sin and to be free to experience the fullness and abundance of life in Christ Jesus. JESUS IS THE DOOR TO FREEDOM AND TOTAL FULFILLMENT.

Jesus’ arms are open wide and ALL THAT BELONGS TO THE FATHER OF LIGHTS IS YOURS WHEN YOU SAY “YES” TO JESUS who is the express image and likeness of God, and His Kingdom of Love becomes yours!

IT IS A SUPERNATURAL GIFT OF DIVINE INFUSION AND PROPORTION AND IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL! Become one with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. ALLOW THE PRINCE OF PEACE TO RULE IN YOUR HEART FOREVERMORE, for God set eternity in the heart of man. He loves YOU so much and nothing will ever separate YOU from His love.

LET THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD LIGHT YOUR PATH AND BE A BEACON OF HOPE TO ALL MANKIND. THE KING OF GLORY HAS CHOSEN AND MADE A WAY TO TAKE UP RESIDENCE IN YOUR HEART AND BE YOUR KING AND PRINCE OF PEACE. SAY YES TO HIM AND THE KINGDOM IS YOURS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL. The Redeemer wants to take all of you in your imperfection and transform you into the likeness of Christ. RECEIVE THE GREATEST GIFT KNOWN TO MANKIND AND LIVE “THE GREAT ADVENTURE” IN CHRIST. NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THIS INDECSRIBABLE GIFT OF PURE AND PERFECT LOVE. It is greater than anything you ever wanted for Christmas for it is the desire of your heart. RECEIVE GOD’S GIFT AND SPEND THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL LIFE AND ETERNITY UNWRAPPING JESUS, GOD’S GIFT OF HIMSELF WHO IS PERFECT LOVE. THERE IS NO END TO LOVE. REJOICE AND BE AT PEACE. IMMANUEL HAS COME!

RECEIVE ALL OF THE GREATEST MIRACLE WHO EVER WAS OR IS TO COME! Let Christ have free reign in your heart and become His walking talking miracle and witness to all mankind. Your light has come. BE GLORIFIED IN HIS ETERNAL PRESENCE.

Father God, I believe in my heart that you sent your Son Jesus to die on the cross for me. I believe Jesus paid my sin debt in full. It was a debt I could not repay and it was a debt Jesus did not owe. Thank You, Jesus. I accept your perfect gift and sacrifice. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Baptize me in the power of your Holy Spirit and I will serve you all the days of my life! I am saved! I am free! Thank you, in Jesus name. Amen.

May you allow the God of all hope and the Prince of Peace to rule in your heart this day and forevermore. May this truly be your most significant Christmas ever as the FULLNESS of the gift of God’s LOVE FOR YOU, becomes an everyday reality in your life!

Today (December 5, 2009) is a historical day because the “WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT” WAS LAUNCHED!!! Dr. Randy Peck hosted the Webinar (WFJ) WORDS FROM JESUS: HOW TO HEAR GOD’S VOICE. The topic was “The Spiritual Triangle Between Virginia, the U.K. and Italy. His guest panelists were Renato and Patrizia Amato from Italy and Lynne Lee from the U.K.

You may be wondering what is this WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT? Simply put it is the worldwide sharing of the Words From Jesus one receives in their quiet time with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the spiritual discipline of “Two Way Journaling,” namely written dialogue/prayer. This habit bears extraordinary fruit and creates major transformation. When shared it is wonderfully multiplied.

Renato and Patrizia have been missionaries for many years. They both have been journaling and recording the words they hear from Jesus for a long time. Renato began posting these “LIFE GIVING” words in his blog and called them WFJ (Words From Jesus). Other life time two way journalists: Lynne Lee , Dr. Randy Peck, Bertha Hinson and myself also began posting our own WFJ in our blogs.

We truly believe this is a God inspired idea led by the Holy Spirit to create a worldwide WFJ MOVEMENT. It will cause millions of people to desire to hear from God for themselves through two way journaling. Now more than any other time in history, people need to hear from God. People are so desperate and hungry to know that God loves them and has a purpose for their lives. He cares for them and wants to direct their lives step by step. God designed every human heart for relationship. God’s burning desire is to have an abiding intimate relationship with each one of us.

Long beore the Webinar began, the Lord woke me up at precisely 6:12 AM and prompted me to begin praying in the spirit and interceding with resurrection power for Dr. Randy Peck’s webinar today and for the WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT to begin with a bang!

The number 6:12 is significant.

6 is the # for man. I AM INTERCEDING FOR:

1. The eyes of man to be opened to this God-sized WFJ move of God.
2. The ears of man to be opened to this truth: UPON THIS WFJ ROCK OF REVELATION JESUS WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH”
3. The hearts of man to be drawn like magnets all over the world by the power of the Holy Spirit to this call of God to come to Jesus and His Word.
4. I pray for God to stir up a deep desire for men, women and children to want to learn how to two way journal so they can hear the voice of God for themselves and then publish His Word to the world.
5. I declare in Jesus name that the mouth of the enemy is being slammed shut and the Words of Jesus are exponentially exploding in the earth to overcome every lie.
6. Every knee of man will bow and every tongue of man will confess that JESUS IS LORD!

The number 12 is significant.

1. Twelve is the number for government and apostolic authority.
2. For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
3. Twelve is the number of tribes of Israel. I CALL the tribes of the Lion of Judah to ARISE and take their rightful place in the plan of God and to spread the GOOD NEWS to the ends of the earth with the WORDS OF JESUS!

I want to invite and encourage everyone reading this to become a part of this vital worldwide move of God. Remember that “Two Way Journaling is God’s Supernatural HIGHway to His Heart!” Just start where you are!

What is the significance of the number 12 in Biblical numerology?
What is the significance of today’s message for you to breakthrough?

In Biblical numerology, the number “12″ represents the apostolic. According to the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry (CARM), 12 is “THE NUMBER OF GOVERNMENTAL PERFECTION. There were 12 tribes of Israel; 12 Apostles, 12 foundations in the heavenly Jerusalem; 12 gates; 12 pearls; 12 angels. The measurements of New Jerusalem are 12,000 furlongs or stadia, while the wall will be 144 (12 x 12) cubits.”

Let me share a recent extraordinary story about the number 12 and the Angel Breakthrough.

On Saturday June 6, 2009, I hosted my very first live Web Marketing Intensive Training seminar at the Holiday Inn Express in Culpeper, Virginia. What happened there was extraordinary. Afterwards, Julia (my wife) and I went for a 24 mile (= 12 x 2) bike ride. During that ride, the LORD told me to ask Bob Sims to sow a $14,400 (= 12 x $1,200) financial seed to provide the funding to allow all of our MTC (Marching Through Culpeper) prayer team members to participate in our first 12-week quick start Web 2.0 program.

During my morning quiet time on June 8, 2009, I spent four hours writing a long two-way prayer and then composing a lengthy email to Bob Sims asking him to sow an UNCOMMON financial seed ($14,400) by June 12 to help our prayer team breakthrough with the Marching Through Culpeper movie project. It turned out my email to Bob had about twelve “12′s” in it.

Meanwhile, while I was composing that email to Bob, he was sending his own email with an audio file titled “Breakthrough.” That was the first time Bob has ever emailed me an audio file and neither of us knew what the other was doing. Neither of us knew what the other was doing.

The audio file “breakthrough” happened to be 12 minutes long. Bob Jones, the speaker on the audio file started,

“A week ago Friday I was in Nashville and I went and laid down at 3 o-clock. And I no sooner laid down and I was in what I call a trance. And I was waiting on a road and 12 men were coming toward me and I could see that they were angels. But one was in front of the others. And the one that was in front came up to me and said ‘My name is Breakthrough.’”

Here are some things the “BREAKTHROUGH” angel said that jumped out at me:
1) “I’m going to move among the common people” (bloggers)
2) “If you do what I tell you, we are going to bring many into the Kingdom”
3) “I use tools!” (Web 2.0)
4) “His angels are like winds. I believe he said Move, Move, Move. It is 3 cities that are ready.”
5) “It’s America’s time for breatkthrough. Study about breakthrough in scripture. Most of the breakthroughs come through praise.”
6) “It’s now.” .. It’s time the Body of Christ quits being observers and becomes participaters.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for Bob Sim’s extraordinary faith and obedience. Thank You for the audio file he sent me about the Angel Breakthrough. Thank You for his $14,400 seed sown on June 12 that You will multiply 100 fold. May those who visit this web page sit before You to reflect upon today’s message. Bless them with ears to hear and eyes to see what You are revealing to them to do to break through in their own lives. Thank You Jesus. In Your name I pray. Amen and hallelujah!

Prayer Power (Mon, June 8, 2009)

Randy, I want you to start your morning by listening to I AM – 365 Names of God to remind you not just who I AM, but who you are in Me. I want your faith to increase. I have brought you to this point so that you have to ask for help from people who I want to partner with you. Nana will want to sow into your life and Julia’s life. It’s Ok to ask her. She sees Me through you. She wants you to be richly blessed. She believes in what you are doing. Likewise, Bob will want to sow into what you are doing. He understands Me. He knows I AM a supernatural God and that My ways are so much higher than the world’s ways and that My thoughts are so much higher than the world’s thoughts. Bob can see God working through you. As a visionary for visionaries and a forerunner of forerunners, Bob understands how I ask my Jedi Knights to do unusual and extraordinary things. Bob will want to partner with you financially. He understands Kingdom economics, which always trump world economics. My yield is 30-60-100 fold, not 5-10%. Randy, write down Proverbs 3:3-10 that Tim Smith read yesterday while on stage at SPC. That was for you.

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. (Proverbs 3:3-10)

These verses will minister to Bob’s spirit. They will speak life into him. They will help him understand what I AM asking him to do. When Bob sows his financial seed, that will be the blowing of the shofar for the fourth time. When Nana sows her seed, that will be the blowing of the shofar for the fifth time. Saturday June 6 was the blowing of My shofar for the third time. The Web Marketing Intensive Training Seminar you led was profound. I completely redirected your paths. What you did is duplicatable and saleable. I AM creating a system for you, Randy, to help My children share their God stories, products, and services with the world. Bob’s seed will allow you to invite in all MTC prayer team members. Just teaching your tribe members how to use affiliate marketing alone will result in much, much recurring financial income. I AM both the giver and the gifts. Copy and paste the I AM track you are listening to right now.

I AM Track #10: “God the reward: I AM your exceedingly great reward. I AM the LORD; taste and see that I AM good. I AM both the giver and the gifts. I AM the preparer of your place in heaven. I AM able to give you much more than this. I AM the one source of all true wealth. I AM the Spirit of liberty. I AM He who anoints your head with oil. I AM the bridegroom returning for my bride. I AM the LORD who looks on those who tremble at My Word. I AM God who prepares a table for you in the presence of your enemies. I AM in the midst of two or three gathered in My name. I AM God who will answer you. I AM the glory who conceals a matter for a king to search out. I AM the fountain of gardens. I AM the resurrection of my beloved. I AM God whose throne is in heaven. I AM from above. I AM the LORD whose countenance beholds the upright. I AM the just rewarder of all who seek Me. I AM God who teaches you to profit. I AM the giver of abundant life. I AM more than you can ask or think. I AM sitting at the right hand of the Father. I AM the maker of many mansions therein. I AM the Sabbath rest. I AM the inheritance of the Levite. I AM the fountain of life. I AM the giver of great wisdom. I AM the Holy Spirit that hovers over your life.

Trust and obey! Trust and obey! I AM who I AM. At my Word, all knees will bow.

Dear Bob,

Jesus has given my a crystal clear instruction to ask you to sow a $14,400 seed to become a financial and covenant partner with Empower 2000 and JIREH Marketing (Jerry and Sharon Graham’s parent company). Your seed will form a triad of Kingdom-minded companies to storm the gates of hell.

Attached is my 2-way prayer with Jesus from this morning which will minister to your spirit and bring clarity. The LORD actually told me in my spirit to ask you to sow this UNCOMMON seed on Saturday June 6 while I was riding my bike 24 miles with Julia about seven hours after the Web Marketing Intensive Training Seminar was over. He told me again several times on Sunday June 7.

I have an urgent financial need that require both faith and mercy on the part of the sower. By Friday June 12 at the latest, I must have at least $3,000 more in my personal checking account to pay two automatic withdrawals, $1,733 to my home mortgage company and $3,000 to the IRS. Julia and I are desperate for a financial miracle. Julia has been such a trooper for the LORD through the extreme financial hardships we have experienced during the past year.

Some history is in order.

As you already know, I committed my life to Jesus on January 6, 2001 (Epiphany Sunday), 2000 years after Jesus was born. I knew the very moment I made that monumental decision that my life purpose was to be the greatest salesman in the world for the Word of God. This came on the heels of the Holy Spirit leading me to read “The Greatest Salesman in the World” book during 2000. I actually read each of the ten scrolls 3x per day for 30 days (90 times per month) over the course of 10 months (Feb-Nov 2000) to the point I had the entire book memorized. I have never done anything like that before or since.

Knowing my life purpose has been what has kept me going through all the trials and tribulations associated with such a great assignment. It’s what has led me to give all I have to those in need as the Holy Spirit has directed me. It’s been what has kept me from going back to do anesthesia to provide for my family.

In April 2001, I got connected to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes after being invited to their annual banquet in Fredericksburg, VA. That led me to volunteer to help me the local FCA huddle in Culpeper. It turned out the very first FCA huddle (student group meeting) I ever went to in my life took place on the morning of Sept 12, 2001, the day after 9-11. My daughter showed up out-of-the-blue. Less than two weeks later she committed her life to Christ and was transformed miraculously from a selfish teenager to a beautiful young lady.

On January 1, 2007, the first day of my sabbatical year and my 21 day fast, the Holy Spirit told me to ask 12 people to sow a $14,400 seed into Empower 2000 to keep me from having to tap my IRA. When I asked my parents, they agreed to do that, albeit reluctantly. When I asked Michael Stay, he turned down the opportunity. When I asked Patti May, no seed was sown. Those “no’s” took the wind out of my sails to ask others.

Incidentally, I first got connected to Patti on Jan 1, 2007 when I serendipitously called together a group of Pray Culpeper members to meet in a downtown Culpeper building adjacent to the post office to dedicate a suite to be a prayer sanctuary for our community. Patti connected me with Bob Griffin, an extraordinary Messianic Jewish prophet, who then came to Culpeper for the very first time on January 15, 2007. Now I realize the timing to ask for the other $14,400 seeds wasn’t right. Those people weren’t ready and neither was I. Hi Bob,

This morning while I was laying in bed reflecting, the LORD told me to re-send my 2-way prayer from yesterday to you this morning, but this time to include it directly in the email instead of as an attachment.

After getting up, I came downstairs, knelt down and prayed a few minutes. Then I came to my desk to journal. I was planning to listen to Genesis 49-50 (Jacob’s blessing on Joseph), but when I maximized iTunes, I noticed “Breakthrough Revival (prophecy),” the MP3 file you sent me yesterday, happened to be at the very top of my iTunes window I had opened. The Holy Spirit prompted me to listen to that again.

Here is how Bob Jones starts, “A week ago Friday I was in Nashville and I went and laid down at 3 o-clock. And I no sooner laid down and I was in what I call a trance. And I was waiting on a road and 12 men were coming toward me and I could see that they were angels. But one was in front of the others. And the one that was in front came up to me and said ‘My name is Breakthrough.’”

Nashville might well be the most spiritually warm city in America.

Here are some things the “BREAKTHROUGH” angel said that jumped out at me:
1) “I’m going to move among the common people” (bloggers)
2) “If you do what I tell you, we are going to bring many into the Kingdom”
3) “I use tools!”
4) “His angels are like winds. I believe he said Move, Move, Move. It is 3 cities that are ready.”
5) “It’s America’s time for breatkthrough. Study about breakthrough in scripture. Most of the breakthroughs come through praise.”
6) “It’s now.” .. It’s time the Body of Christ quits being observers and becomes participaters.

The web is the number one business tool available. Ted Baehr, the founder of Movie Guide, uses this for his email signature, “He controls the media controls the culture.” Since the web is the most powerful type of media on the planet now, Ted’s statement can be boiled down to “He who controls the web controls the culture.”

We know the number “12″ in Biblical numerology represents the apostolic. Yesterday I spent 4 hours in the Holy of holies composing the email I sent you. This morning while reviewing that, I noticed the frequency of the number 12 in that email

What friends do you want to bring to Jesus?

Today many Christians around the world celebrate Holy Thursday in remembrance of Jesus’ “last supper” (Pesach/Passover eve). It’s interesting that this year the Jewish and Christian celebrations of Passover nearly coincide.

Yesterday morning I received an email from Jeff Bernstein sent to his Gates of Zion followers stating:

“Tonight is Pesach/Passover eve. Today on the 14th day of what is the 1st month of the year at twilight each household of Israel killed the Passover lamb and put its blood on the doors of their homes. Passover as far as I know has been celebrated longer than any event in history. Jewish people have observed Passover for over three thousand years! How do we know it is Passover? Look outside this evening. The moon is full. When Israel departed from Egypt they did not have flashlights. God timed it perfectly. A full moon gave light so the entire nation could pack up quickly and leave 400 years of bondage in Egypt. Passover is a powerfully significant feast for both Jews and Gentiles who are grafted onto Israel’s olive tree. It is not that Passover points to the Messiah nor that the Messiah is found within the elements of the Passover Seder Meal. It is more powerful than that. Messiah Yeshua is the Passover!”

On Sunday April 5, Pastor Matt Gregory preached a powerful message titled “Contagious Christian Commissioning.” During that, he laid our four basic objectives that make up the “Job Description of a Contagious Christian.” Those included 1) Deeply understand the substitutionary atonement by Jesus, 2) Always remember what Jesus did, 3) Passionately share about Jesus, and 4) Expectantly live.

At the end of the worship service, Matt commissioned everyone to come forward and nail a card to a large wooden cross with the name of at least one friend they want to bring to Jesus. As part of this commissioning service, Matt challenged each of us to commit to:

1) Pray daily for my friend(s) by name
2) Invest in them as a good friend by caring and serving
3) Invite them to attend the worship service on Easter
4) Fast on Good Friday (April 10)
5) Share my story and God’s message with my friend

Prayer Power
LORD Jesus, thank You for the feast of Passover to celebrate the greatest gift ever given. Thank You that through your death and resurrection, all those who believe and willingly receive your grace have resurrection life in You. Help each of us fully grasp the signficance of this momentous day and Holy Week. Transform us into contagious Christians, not just with the words we share, but with the lives we lead. Amen and Halleluah to You, the Passover lamb.

During our weekly Marching Through Culpeper (MTC) prayer call yesterday, Virginia Morton gave us “LITTLE” as the our word to focus on this week. She said that God accomplishes great things through us when we obey Him in the little things. It’s the little things in our relationships that make things work. When we ignore those, relationships suffer.

After sharing 3 scriptures with the MTC prayer team (Zec 4:10, Prov 15:16, and Phil 4:11-13), Virginia prayed first. She thanked God for the little thing of meeting me in Food Lion in early 2005. This led to me interviewing her on my A Life Of Blessing TV show, which turned out to be the first time she ever publicly shared the God story behind MTC. That opened a whole host of other doors for her, many of which are a direct result of her active participation with the Pray Culpeper team.

When Virginia started the weekly MTC prayer calls a year and a half ago, that was a little step of faith. However, on the spiritual Richter scale, it was HUGE. So much fruit has come from these prayer calls. God has knit together the hearts of everyone who participates regularly. And all of us have experienced a significant growth in our faith. By far, these are the most inspirational group prayer times I have ever participated in.

Virginia has learned how to hear God’s voice, speak what she hears, and consistently do the little things to obey God. As a result of her UNCOMMON obedience, I have witnessed God opening progressively larger and larger doors of opportunity for her.

Virginia is one of the most obedient people I have ever met. When she speaks or prays, I often sense the LORD is speaking directly to me through her. I stand amazed at how God is using this ordinary person with a heart to obey to accomplish his extraordinary purposes. I suspect the unfolding of this MTC movie project may be one of the greatest miracles I ever experience in my lifetime.

What does obedience to God look like?

During our weekly Marching Through Culpeper prayer call on Tuesday Feb 17, Virginia Morton shared that the keyword the LORD gave her for this week is “Obedience.” That word, the scriptures Virginia shared, and the prayers that followed all spoke strongly to my spirit at the time.

This morning, I woke up very early and lay in bed reflecting. I heard the question, “What does obedience to God look like?” Then answers began pouring into my spirit. After about 15-20 minutes of listening, I got up and began writing what the LORD was downloading to me.

As I was typing today’s message, I was prompted out-of-the-blue to listen to my scheduled iTunes playlist for Day #19 because this is the 19th day of the month. That playlist began with the song “On My Knees” from Dennis Jernigan’s CD “Hands Lifted High.” That playlist also happened to include Chapter 19 of The Power Of A Praying Husband which is titled “Obedience.” That’s three times in two days the Holy Spirit brought that word to my attention. Clearly God is grabbing my attention. When this sort of thing happens, I believe He has a message for you too.

In his death bed message, Jesus said “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing… As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. (John 15:5, 9-10) Clearly, abiding in Jesus’ love includes keeping His commandments.

So, what are some simple things that Jesus commanded us (you) to do?

1) “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.” (Matt 22:37) Love is spelled T.I.M.E. It requires relationship, not religion. Love and hurry are incompatible. Therefore, to be spiritually healthy, you must ruthless eliminate hurry from your life.

A relationship requires two way communication. Do you know have a personal relationship with Jesus? Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” Are you a sheep? Do you hear His voice? How often? Are you following Him? Do you dialog (not monologue) with Jesus daily? If not, how do you start?

Psalm 1:1-2 says, “Blessed is the man … (whose) delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.” When you have a close relationship with Jesus, you will meditate on the Word of God, day and night. The Bible is God’s love letter to you. When you spend quality time in relationship with Jesus every day, you will experience His uncondtional love and and that will spill over in your relationships with people.

2) “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matt 22:39) Loving your neighbor begins with loving and forgiving yourself. This includes resting and taking caring of the only body you will ever have. After all, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit ((1Co 6:19)) if you are born again. It means loving your neighbors where they are at without judging them (John 12:47). It means being merciful. It means forgiving unconditionally

3) Keep the Sabbath holy! God designed our bodies to need a day of rest each week. “‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.” (Le 23:3) Taking an entire day off completely from work each week demonstrates our trust in God.

4) “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise. (Eph 6:2) This is so deep and means so much more than most of us realize. Listening and obeying our parents, praying for them daily, and making godly choices are all ways we honor our them. Once again, love is spelled T.I.M.E.

5) “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. (Mt 5:37) This includes being on time (nearly all the time) and completing what you say you will in the time frame you specify. For most us, including me, this means saying “no” much more often.

6) “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Mt 6:33) Seeking first the kingdom of God means much more than just seeking first God. The LORD wants us

7) And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Col 3:17) This scripture is so rich. It means doing everything with excellence and a good attitude, whether we want to be doing it or not. It means speaking only words of life. Never, never, never be negative!

8) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her. (Eph 5:25) This means loving your wife unconditionally, regardless of her behavior or attitude. It means being patient and kind always (1 Cor 13:4-7). It means spending lots of quality time with your wife. It means listening to her and respecting her opinions as your helpmate. It means treating her as an equal partner in your relationship.

9) Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Eph 5:22). This means showing unconditional respect, which is what husbands crave more than anything. It means encouraging him and being his top cheerleader. It means spending quality time with him. It means trusting God that he is working through your husband to lead your family.

10) Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Get it? THIS is the will of God. Where’s your joy on a scale of 1-10? How much time do you spend praying? How thankful are you in your current circumstances?

11) Live within your means and be debt free! Be content with what you have. Debt releasing is a key to realizing your dreams! “The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.” (Pr 22:7)

12) “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ (Mt 25:34) Compassionately caring for and SERVING the downtrodden is being Jesus to the world. How are doing in this regard? How can you improve?

Jesus, thank You for today’s download. I’m convicted by much of what You had me write down. When I don’t know what I need, I need to get on my knees. When waves of doubt crash over me, I need to get on my knees. On my knees, I find refuge. On my knees, I find grace. On my knees, I can feel You like we’re meeting face to face. What role is God calling you to play to feed the hungry?

About 2 years ago, Virginia Morton approached her church about bringing Stop Hunger Now to Culpeper after Rev. Lee Warren, a good friend of hers, peaked her interest. Lee is a United Methodist minister from South Hill, Virginia and oversees Stop Hunger Now in Virginia. This program has mushroomed since Lee took it over.

It turned out the timing wasn’t right, so Virginia later approached Erick Kalenga, founder of the Rize-Up youth ministry, and he embraced the idea. Erick arranged for Lee to speak on May 5th, 2008 at the Stop Hunger Now assembly at Culpeper County High School (CCHS). The vision was cast, but Erick still needed a point person to manage this project.

In late 2008, Natalie Rosenberger was praying for God to show her what He wanted to do at the same time the Holy Spirit prompted Erick to call Natalie about taking charge over the Stop Hunger Now project. Natalie is 19 years old and had been involved with Rize Up at Culpeper High School before graduating in June 2008. She is the daughter of Brad Rosenberger, one of the seven supervisors on Culpeper County Board of Supervisors.

I first met Natalie on December 21, 2008 (4 days before Christmas) when she came with Erick Kalenga to the weekly Friday Pray Culpeper meeting at Reformation Lutheran Church. Virginia, Dewey McDonnell, and I formed a circle around Natalie and Erick laying hands on them and praying for God’s favor for Natalie to be able to raise at least $5,000 by Feb 7, the date they hoped to pack at least 20,000 meals at CCHS.

On January 9, I went to the Best Western in Culpeper to hear and videotape Natalie and Erick share about the Stop Hunger Now opportunity to a small, but influential group of pulpit and marketplace ministers. Now Natalie had the daunting task of raising $5,000 in just 4 weeks.

Through another set of miraculous circumstances, Soul Purpose Church was able to bring Apologetix, a Christian parody band, to Liberty High School in Bealeton Virginia on Sat January 31. When Natalie was allowed to share about Stop Hunger Now for 3 minutes, I learned that she had now raised $4,200. An additional $500 was raised at that concert.

Yesterday I spoke with both Natalie and Erick and learned they have now raised $5,200 and hope to raise another $800 by Feb 6 for a grand total of $6,000.

If you live locally and are available, you’re invited to join Natalie, Erick, and more than 50 other volunteers at CCHS on Saturday February 7 to CCHS to package about 24,000 meals. The packing officially starts at 10 am, but Erick is asking volunteers to arrive by 9:30 am if possible. Bring your kids. Bring your friends. Everyone who comes will be blessed.

Each highly nutritional meal costs only 25 cents. 100 people can package the 24,000 meals in just 2 hours. That’s enough to feed an orphanage with 48 children twice a day for 7 months. Children as young as 5 years old can get involved and help with the meal packing.

Thank You for providing exceeding abundantly above and beyond what she imagined. Thank You for every person who will show up on Sat Feb 7 to package these 24,000 meals. There is so much to be said about the spoken word. The Bible says in the beginning God spoke and the Holy Spirit was hovering over the water to respond to the spoken word. In the same way the prophets prophesied and the Holy Spirit was there to respond to the word. Through journaling, the word is written, again the Holy Spirit is there to respond to the word. I see an incredible awakening in the spirit of people who journal. Thoughts are written and later reflections in the journal reveal how the Holy Spirit has intervened. It’s amazing. It’s supernatural. It’s a real spirit builder. Scales begin to fall off your eyes and humbles one to desire the will of God.

And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” (Mark 9:7)

How often do you journal and what do you do with it?

In the past few weeks I have journaled extensively and reflected on the past year, It was an aha moment when I realized Mark Virkler had the greatest impact on me in 2008 of all the new people I met or connected with. Yet we only spoke for one hour on June 9, 2008. How could that be? It’s because Mark taught me four simple keys to hear God’s voice and followed up with an email which I reflected upon.

The next morning (June 10), the Holy Spirit woke me up around 4 am. He immediately prompted me to go to my desk to design a new computer desktop image (“You Can Hear God’s Voice”) with an image of Jesus, a list of the 4 keys, and Habukkuk 2:1-3. (See today’s Blessings of the Day). After doing that, I began 2-way journaling for the very first time in my life.

After doing this, I emailed the desktop image to Mark along with my journal entry for that morning. He responded promptly with a very encouraging email, counseling me on how to make my prayer even more personal.

On June 17 Jerry Graham and I officially launched our 35 day course titled “UNCOMMON Journaling For Destiny.” Each day during the 35 days, students and coaches were given one question to ask Jesus and then apply two-way journaling. Everyone who took our course and completed the assignments experienced substantial breakthroughs.

On June 18, I entered Destiny course Question #1 into my journal – “Lord, why do You want me to learn to hear Your voice?” Jesus responded, “Because I love You and I have specific instructions to give You each day – not vague thoughts, but specific things I want you to know and to do. Randy, I know what works and what doesn’t. I want to take you to an entirely new level of abiding in Me. I want you to experience My love like never before. I want You to know that I’m not just here beside You, but I’m here to answer questions that You have. I’ve been waiting.”

You Can Hear God’s Voice! (by Mark Virkler)

The age in which we live is so married to rationalism and cognitive, analytical thought that we almost mock when we hear of one actually claiming to be able to hear the voice of God. However, we do not scoff, for several reasons. First, men and women throughout the Bible heard God’s voice. Also, there are some highly effective and reputable men and women of God alive today who demonstrate that they hear God’s voice. Finally, there is a deep hunger within us all to commune with God, and hear Him speak within our hearts.

As a born-again, Bible-believing Christian, I struggled unsuccessfully for years to hear God’s voice. I prayed, fasted, studied my Bible and listened for a voice within, all to no avail. There was no inner voice that I could hear! Then God set me aside for a year to study, read, and experiment in the area of learning to hear His voice. During that time, the Lord taught me four keys that opened the door to two-way prayer. I have discovered that not only do they work for me, but they have worked for many thousands of believers who have been taught to use them, bringing tremendous intimacy to their Christian experience and transforming their very way of living. This will happen to you also as you seek God, utilizing the following four keys. They are all found in Habakkuk 2:1,2. I encourage you to read this passage before going on.

Key #1 (STILLNESS) – I must learn to still my own thoughts and emotions, so that I can sense God’s flow of thoughts and emotions within me.

Habakkuk said, “I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart…” (Hab. 2:1). Habakkuk knew that in order to hear God’s quiet, inner, spontaneous thoughts, he had to first go to a quiet place and still his own thoughts and emotions. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to be still, and know that He is God. There is a deep inner knowing (spontaneous flow) in our spirits that each of us can experience when we quiet our flesh and our minds.

I have found several simple ways to quiet myself so that I can more readily pick up God’s spontaneous flow. Loving God through a quiet worship song is a most effective means for me (note II Kings 3:15). It is as I become still (thoughts, will, and emotions) and am poised before God that the divine flow is realized. Therefore, after I worship quietly and then become still, I open myself for that spontaneous flow. If thoughts come to me of things I have forgotten to do, I write them down and then dismiss them. If thoughts of guilt or unworthiness come to my mind, I repent thoroughly, receive the washing of the blood of the Lamb, and put on His robe of righteousness, seeing myself spotless before the presence of God (Is. 61:10; Col. 1:22).

As I fix my gaze upon Jesus (Heb. 12:2), becoming quiet in His presence, and sharing with Him what is on my heart, I find that two-way dialogue begins to flow. Spontaneous thoughts flow from the throne of God to me, and I find that I am actually conversing with the King of Kings.

It is very important that you become still and properly focused if you are going to receive the pure word of God. If you are not still, you will simply be receiving your own thoughts. If you are not properly focused on Jesus, you will receive an impure flow, because the intuitive flow comes out of that upon which you have fixed your eyes. Therefore, if you fix your eyes upon Jesus, the intuitive flow comes from Jesus. If you fix your gaze upon some desire of your heart, the intuitive flow comes out of that desire of your heart. To have a pure flow you must first of all become still, and secondly, you must carefully fix your eyes upon Jesus. Again I will say, quietly worshiping the King, and then receiving out of the stillness that follows quite easily accomplish this.

Key #2 (VISION) – as I pray, I fix the eyes of my heart upon Jesus, seeing in the Spirit the dreams and visions of Almighty God.

We have already alluded to this principle in the previous paragraphs; however, we need to develop it a bit further. Habakkuk said, “I will keep watch to see,” and God said, “Record the vision” (Hab. 2:1,2). It is very interesting that Habakkuk was going to actually start looking for vision as he prayed. He was going to open the eyes of his heart, and look into the spirit world to see what God wanted to show him. This is an intriguing idea.

I had never thought of opening the eyes of my heart and looking for vision. However, the more I thought of it, the more I realized this was exactly what God intends for me to do. He gave me eyes in my heart. They are to be used to see in the spirit world the vision and movement of Almighty God. I believe there is an active spirit world functioning all around me. This world is full of angels, demons, the Holy Spirit, the omnipresent God, and His omnipresent Son, Jesus. There is no reason for me not to see it, other than my rational culture, which tells me not to believe it is even there and provides no instruction on how to become open to seeing this spirit world.

The most obvious prerequisite to seeing is that we need to look. Daniel was seeing a vision in his mind and he said, “I was looking…I kept looking…I kept looking” (Dan. 7:2,9,13). Now as I pray, I look for Jesus present with me, and I watch Him as He speaks to me, doing and saying the things that are on His heart. Many Christians will find that if they will only look, they will see. Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us (Matt. 1:23). It is as simple as that. You will see a spontaneous inner vision in a manner similar to receiving spontaneous inner thoughts. You can see Christ present with you in a comfortable setting, because Christ is present with you in a comfortable setting. Actually, you will probably discover that inner vision comes so easily you will have a tendency to reject it, thinking that it is just you. (Doubt is satan’s most effective weapon against the Church.) However, if you will persist in recording these visions, your doubt will soon be overcome by faith as you recognize that the content of them could only be birthed in Almighty God.

God continually revealed Himself to His covenant people using dream and vision. He did so from Genesis to Revelation and said that, since the Holy Spirit was poured out in Acts 2, we should expect to receive a continuing flow of dreams and visions (Acts 2:1-4,17). Jesus, our perfect Example, demonstrated this ability of living out of ongoing contact with Almighty God. He said that He did nothing on His own initiative, but only that which He saw the Father doing, and heard the Father saying (Jn. 5:19,20,30). What an incredible way to live!

Is it actually possible for us to live out of the divine initiative as Jesus did? A major purpose of Jesus’ death and resurrection was that the veil be torn from top to bottom, giving us access into the immediate presence of God, and we are commanded to draw near (Lk. 23:45; Heb. l0: 19-22). Therefore, even though what I am describing seems a bit unusual to a rational twentieth-century culture, it is demonstrated and described as being a central biblical teaching and experience. It is time to restore to the Church all that belongs to the Church.

Because of their intensely rational nature and existence in an overly-rational culture, some will need more assistance and understanding of these truths before they can move into them. They will find this help in the book Communion With God by the same authors.

Key #3 (SPONTANEITY) – God’s voice in our hearts sounds like a flow of spontaneous thoughts. Therefore, when I tune to God, I tune to spontaneity.

The Bible says that the Lord answered me and said…(Hab. 2:2). Habakkuk knew the sound of God’s voice. Elijah described it as a still, small voice (I Kings 19:12). I had always listened for an inner audible voice, and surely God can and does speak that way at times. However, I have found that for most of us, most of the time, God’s inner voice comes to us as spontaneous thoughts, visions, feelings, or impressions. For example, haven’t each of us had the experience of driving down the road and having a thought come to us to pray for a certain person? We generally acknowledge this to be the voice of God calling us to pray for that individual. My question to you is, “What did God’s voice sound like as you drove in your car? Was it an inner, audible voice, or was it a spontaneous thought that lit upon your mind?” Most of you would say that God’s voice came to you as a spontaneous thought.

So I thought to myself, “Maybe when I listen for God’s voice, I should be listening for a flow of spontaneous thoughts. Maybe spirit-level communication is received as spontaneous thoughts, impressions, feelings, and visions.” Through experimentation and feedback from thousands of others, I am now convinced that this is so.

The Bible confirms this in many ways. The definition of paga, the Hebrew word for intercession, is “a chance encounter or an accidental intersecting.” When God lays people on our hearts for intercession, He does it through paga, a chance-encounter thought, accidentally intersecting our thought processes. Therefore, when I tune to God, I tune to chance-encounter thoughts or spontaneous thoughts. When I am poised quietly before God in prayer, I have found that the flow of spontaneous thoughts that comes is quite definitely from God.

Key #4 (JOURNALING) – Journaling, the writing out of our prayers and God’s answers, provides a great new freedom in hearing God’s voice.
God told Habakkuk to record the vision and inscribe it on tablets…(Hab. 2:2). It had never crossed my mind to write out my prayers and God’s answers as Habakkuk did at God’s command. If you begin to search Scripture for this idea, you will find hundreds of chapters demonstrating it (Psalms, many of the prophets, Revelation). Why then hadn’t I ever thought of it?

I called the process “journaling,” and I began experimenting with it. I discovered it to be a fabulous facilitator to clearly discerning God’s inner, spontaneous flow, because as I journaled I was able to write in faith for long periods of time, simply believing it was God. I did not have to test it as I was receiving it (which jams one’s receiver), because I knew that when the flow was over I could go back and test and examine it carefully, making sure that it lined up with Scripture.

You will be amazed when you attempt journaling. Doubt may hinder you at first, but throw it off, reminding yourself that it is a biblical concept, and that God is present, speaking to His children. Don’t take yourself too seriously. When you do, you become tense and get in the way of the Holy Spirit’s movement. It is when we cease our labors and enter His rest that God is free to flow (Heb. 4:10). Therefore, put a smile on your face, sit back comfortably, get out your pen and paper, and turn your attention toward God in praise and worship, seeking His face. As you write out your question to God and become still, fixing your gaze on Jesus, Who is present with you, you will suddenly have a very good thought in response to your question. Don’t doubt it, simply write it down. Later, as you read your journaling, you, too, will be blessed to discover that you are indeed dialoguing with God.

Some final notes: No one should attempt this without having first read through at least the New Testament (preferably, the entire Bible), nor should one attempt this unless he is submitted to solid, spiritual leadership. All major directional moves that come through journaling should be submitted before being acted upon.

“Nothing is as important in your Christian walk than learning to hear Jesus’ voice!”

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)

What impact will it have on your life when you learn to hear Jesus’ voice consistently?

The topic for this week and my focus this year is “God’s Voice Worldwide.” That was the title of Mark Virkler’s January 2009 e-newsletter sent on December 31 to his 15,000 subscribers. Mark is author of “How to Hear God’s Voice” and President of Christian Leadership University (CLU). He is also President and Founder of Communion With God Ministries. What a great name.

2008 was a profound year for me in terms of relationships. Not only did I grow wider (i.e. many more relationships), but much deeper with relationships I already had. As I reflect back on 2008, it seems Mark Virkler had a greater impact on my intimacy (relationship) with Jesus than anyone, even though I only spoke to Mark once in 2008. Amazing! And who connected me with Mark? Dr. Jerry Graham.

In my one hour conversation with Mark on June 9, 2008, he taught me 4 keys to hearing God’s voice. One of those was two-way journaling (me and Jesus). I began applying those 4 keys the next morning and my life has not been the same since. Mark is a world-renown leader at teaching people to hear God’s voice through journaling. What Mark teaches is simple, not rocket science.

On Saturday Jan 3 while journaling 2-way, Jesus told me,

“Randy, you’ve been trying to do way too much in the natural. I work in the supernatural. One connection from me can completely change your life. Mark Virkler is that connection. On his Welcome page for CLU, Mark says his top priority is “Raising up Spirit-anointed leaders who disciple nations.” I have led you to change your slogan for all your main websites (blogs) to “Changing Lives to Disciple Nations!” Get it – Disciple Nations. That’s what Mark wants to do. That’s what you and Jerry want to do. That what I want to do. And learning to hear God’s voice is the key.”

Lord Jesus, thank You for leading me this morning to Mark Virkler’s Dec 31 email titled “God’s Voice Worldwide (January 2009).” Thank You for leading me to cut and paste that into my journal and then reflect upon it. Thank You for Your reminder to order Mark’s Virkler’s materials today (now).

I want to say I’m sorry for not following through sooner with the instruction You gave to me on June 22 to “Schedule a 3 way meeting with Jerry and Mark Virkler.” Please forgive me.

Randy, you’ve had a lot going on and have allowed a lot of distractions in your life. This time you spend with me each morning settles your mind and let’s you focus on what’s most important in your life. As Mark Virkler said in his Dec 31 email, “When you use ‘Laser Light Focus,’ things change in your life.”

Today, I led you to “A Welcome from the President” at Christian Leadership University. I wanted you to read Mark’s introductory message to students and potential students.

Our Top Priority: “Raising up Spirit-anointed leaders who disciple nations.”

“Thank you for choosing to examine what you will find to be an exciting and innovative educational opportunity. Our program is designed to meet your needs, and stretch and equip you to become a world-changing, Spirit-anointed leader.

In the midst of international travail, God is seeking a people who will become disciplers of nations, lead and not follow, lend and not borrow, be above and not underneath (Deut. 28:1-14). This will not be done out of human wisdom or strength but by the anointing and wisdom of God Himself flowing through His children. That is why God begins Deuteronomy 28 by twice saying, “If you will obey My voice…then….” So we will train you to hear the voice of God and then to apply it to the various disciplines of life in which God is calling you to demonstrate anointed leadership.

Since we have removed the sacred/secular split and believe that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, we will train you to take applied biblical understanding as well as the voice and anointing of God into all areas of life and to demonstrate godly leadership there. I sense that God is raising up sons and daughters of Abraham who will minister in multi-gifted fashion as Abraham did. Abraham was a spiritual leader, a business leader, and a political leader, all wrapped up in one. May we learn to live in like manner. We provide for our graduates to be ordained and certified in many different vocational/ministry settings.”
