Today was another historical day of taking a stand for the WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT. Team destiny hosted their final of three WFJ (Words From Jesus) webinars in December 2009 called “The Miracle of Christmas.”

Dr. Joseph Peck served as the global connector and host of this webinar. The guest panelists were: Deb Smith, Richard Mayhan, Bertha Hinson, and me, Abigail Slocum. Clearly the Holy Spirit took control of the webinar before it ever started and never let go!

He began by waking me up at 3:22 AM to give me this prophetic word – WFJ: THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS IS CHRIST! It was His way of orchestrating the whole focus for the discussion. These are the questions we covered:

WFJ: THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS IS CHRIST!

Take the tour of the Word and be free in Christ. CHRISTMAS IS A SEASON FOR MIRACLES BUT EVERY DAY IS A MIRACLE IN CHRIST! TO BE IN CHRIST IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL.

SALVATION IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL. It is God’s free gift to all mankind. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall be saved (have eternal life).(John 3:16).

What is so miraculous is that SALVATION IS THE “GREAT EXCHANGE!” MAN GIVES GOD HIS IMPERFECT, BROKEN, SINFUL LIFE IN EXCHANGE FOR A PERFECT (COMPLETE) LIFE IN CHRIST. JESUS GIVES HIS ALL FOR OUR ALL!

When you receive Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, the LIGHT OF THE WORLD – THE CANDLE OF MAN, comes into your heart to show you the most excellent way of all to live. IT IS THE WAY OF LOVE BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE.

In this “GREAT EXCHANGE,” your old sinful man dies and the new man comes alive in Christ. CHRIST LIVES THROUGH YOU to live the perfect will of God which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17).

Unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is your inheritance as a born again child of God. IT IS A LIFE OF VICTORY AND TOTAL PROVISION. To be one with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is to be free from every bondage of sin and to be free to experience the fullness and abundance of life in Christ Jesus. JESUS IS THE DOOR TO FREEDOM AND TOTAL FULFILLMENT.

Jesus’ arms are open wide and ALL THAT BELONGS TO THE FATHER OF LIGHTS IS YOURS WHEN YOU SAY “YES” TO JESUS who is the express image and likeness of God, and His Kingdom of Love becomes yours!

IT IS A SUPERNATURAL GIFT OF DIVINE INFUSION AND PROPORTION AND IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL! Become one with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. ALLOW THE PRINCE OF PEACE TO RULE IN YOUR HEART FOREVERMORE, for God set eternity in the heart of man. He loves YOU so much and nothing will ever separate YOU from His love.

LET THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD LIGHT YOUR PATH AND BE A BEACON OF HOPE TO ALL MANKIND. THE KING OF GLORY HAS CHOSEN AND MADE A WAY TO TAKE UP RESIDENCE IN YOUR HEART AND BE YOUR KING AND PRINCE OF PEACE. SAY YES TO HIM AND THE KINGDOM IS YOURS!

RECEIVE THE GREATEST GIFT KNOWN TO MANKIND AND LIVE “THE GREAT ADVENTURE” IN CHRIST. NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THIS INDECSRIBABLE GIFT OF PURE AND PERFECT LOVE. It is greater than anything you ever wanted for Christmas for it is the desire of your heart. RECEIVE GOD’S GIFT AND SPEND THE REST OF YOUR NATURAL LIFE AND ETERNITY UNWRAPPING JESUS, GOD’S GIFT OF HIMSELF WHO IS PERFECT LOVE. THERE IS NO END TO LOVE. REJOICE AND BE AT PEACE. IMMANUEL HAS COME!

RECEIVE ALL OF THE GREATEST MIRACLE WHO EVER WAS OR IS TO COME! Let Christ have free reign in your heart and become His walking talking miracle and witness to all mankind. Your light has come. BE GLORIFIED IN HIS ETERNAL PRESENCE.

God is on the move and doing amazing things in this earth! He continues to draw the body of Christ together in unity for His purposes. People may not be aware of all or see all that the Lord is doing but He truly is “CONNECTING THE DOTS”.

Upon awakening this morning I received a WFJ (Word From Jesus). It was just in time and so appropriate for the second webinar of three taking place at 8AM today. Dr. Randy Peck was hosting the Words From Jesus: How To Hear God’s Voice Webinar. Today’s topic was “The $14,400 Miracles!” The guest panelists were Doug Barclay, Bob Sims, and Bertha Hinson. Now is the time of seedtime and harvest. I AM MOVING IN THIS EARTH IN UNUSUAL WAYS. I am the Lord of the Harvest. As long as the earth remains there is seedtime and harvest. MY WORD WILL BRING BILLIONS OF SOULS INTO MY KINGDOM. The Great Commission is going forth. I am also calling My people to sow financial seeds to bring in this end time harvest. Breakthrough begins with thanksgiving, praise, and prayer!

Then King David went in and sat before the LORD; and he said: “Who am I, O Lord GOD? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? (2 Samuel 7:18)

What is the significance of the number 12 in Biblical numerology?
What is the significance of today’s message for you to breakthrough?

In Biblical numerology, the number “12″ represents the apostolic. According to the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry (CARM), 12 is “THE NUMBER OF GOVERNMENTAL PERFECTION. There were 12 tribes of Israel; 12 Apostles, 12 foundations in the heavenly Jerusalem; 12 gates; 12 pearls; 12 angels. The measurements of New Jerusalem are 12,000 furlongs or stadia, while the wall will be 144 (12 x 12) cubits.”

Let me share a recent extraordinary story about the number 12 and the Angel Breakthrough.

On Saturday June 6, 2009, I hosted my very first live Web Marketing Intensive Training seminar at the Holiday Inn Express in Culpeper, Virginia. What happened there was extraordinary. Afterwards, Julia (my wife) and I went for a 24 mile (= 12 x 2) bike ride. During that ride, the LORD told me to ask Bob Sims to sow a $14,400 (= 12 x $1,200) financial seed to provide the funding to allow all of our MTC (Marching Through Culpeper) prayer team members to participate in our first 12-week quick start Web 2.0 program.

During my morning quiet time on June 8, 2009, I spent four hours writing a long two-way prayer and then composing a lengthy email to Bob Sims asking him to sow an UNCOMMON financial seed ($14,400) by June 12 to help our prayer team breakthrough with the Marching Through Culpeper movie project. It turned out my email to Bob had about twelve “12′s” in it.

Meanwhile, while I was composing that email to Bob, he was sending his own email with an audio file titled “Breakthrough.” That was the first time Bob has ever emailed me an audio file and neither of us knew what the other was doing. Neither of us knew what the other was doing.

The audio file “breakthrough” happened to be 12 minutes long. Bob Jones, the speaker on the audio file started,

“A week ago Friday I was in Nashville and I went and laid down at 3 o-clock. And I no sooner laid down and I was in what I call a trance. And I was waiting on a road and 12 men were coming toward me and I could see that they were angels. But one was in front of the others. And the one that was in front came up to me and said ‘My name is Breakthrough.’”

Here are some things the “BREAKTHROUGH” angel said that jumped out at me:
1) “I’m going to move among the common people” (bloggers)
2) “If you do what I tell you, we are going to bring many into the Kingdom”
3) “I use tools!” (Web 2.0)
4) “His angels are like winds. I believe he said Move, Move, Move. It is 3 cities that are ready.”
5) “It’s America’s time for breatkthrough. Study about breakthrough in scripture. Most of the breakthroughs come through praise.”
6) “It’s now.” .. It’s time the Body of Christ quits being observers and becomes participaters.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for Bob Sim’s extraordinary faith and obedience. Thank You for the audio file he sent me about the Angel Breakthrough. Thank You for his $14,400 seed sown on June 12 that You will multiply 100 fold. May those who visit this web page sit before You to reflect upon today’s message. Bless them with ears to hear and eyes to see what You are revealing to them to do to break through in their own lives. Thank You Jesus. In Your name I pray. Amen and hallelujah!

Prayer Power (Mon, June 8, 2009)

Randy, I want you to start your morning by listening to I AM – 365 Names of God to remind you not just who I AM, but who you are in Me. I want your faith to increase. I have brought you to this point so that you have to ask for help from people who I want to partner with you. Nana will want to sow into your life and Julia’s life. It’s Ok to ask her. She sees Me through you. She wants you to be richly blessed. She believes in what you are doing. Likewise, Bob will want to sow into what you are doing. He understands Me. He knows I AM a supernatural God and that My ways are so much higher than the world’s ways and that My thoughts are so much higher than the world’s thoughts. Bob can see God working through you. As a visionary for visionaries and a forerunner of forerunners, Bob understands how I ask my Jedi Knights to do unusual and extraordinary things. Bob will want to partner with you financially. He understands Kingdom economics, which always trump world economics. My yield is 30-60-100 fold, not 5-10%. Randy, write down Proverbs 3:3-10 that Tim Smith read yesterday while on stage at SPC. That was for you.

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. (Proverbs 3:3-10)

These verses will minister to Bob’s spirit. They will speak life into him. They will help him understand what I AM asking him to do. When Bob sows his financial seed, that will be the blowing of the shofar for the fourth time. When Nana sows her seed, that will be the blowing of the shofar for the fifth time. Saturday June 6 was the blowing of My shofar for the third time. The Web Marketing Intensive Training Seminar you led was profound. I completely redirected your paths. What you did is duplicatable and saleable. I AM creating a system for you, Randy, to help My children share their God stories, products, and services with the world. Bob’s seed will allow you to invite in all MTC prayer team members. Just teaching your tribe members how to use affiliate marketing alone will result in much, much recurring financial income. I AM both the giver and the gifts. Copy and paste the I AM track you are listening to right now.

I AM from above. I AM the LORD whose countenance beholds the upright. I AM the just rewarder of all who seek Me. I AM God who teaches you to profit. I AM the giver of abundant life. I AM more than you can ask or think. I AM sitting at the right hand of the Father. I AM the maker of many mansions therein. I AM the Sabbath rest. I AM the inheritance of the Levite. I AM the fountain of life. I AM the giver of great wisdom. I AM the Holy Spirit that hovers over your life.

Dear Bob,

Jesus has given my a crystal clear instruction to ask you to sow a $14,400 seed to become a financial and covenant partner with Empower 2000 and JIREH Marketing (Jerry and Sharon Graham’s parent company). Your seed will form a triad of Kingdom-minded companies to storm the gates of hell.

Attached is my 2-way prayer with Jesus from this morning which will minister to your spirit and bring clarity. The LORD actually told me in my spirit to ask you to sow this UNCOMMON seed on Saturday June 6 while I was riding my bike 24 miles with Julia about seven hours after the Web Marketing Intensive Training Seminar was over. He told me again several times on Sunday June 7.

I have an urgent financial need that require both faith and mercy on the part of the sower. By Friday June 12 at the latest, I must have at least $3,000 more in my personal checking account to pay two automatic withdrawals, $1,733 to my home mortgage company and $3,000 to the IRS. Julia and I are desperate for a financial miracle. Julia has been such a trooper for the LORD through the extreme financial hardships we have experienced during the past year.

Some history is in order.

As you already know, I committed my life to Jesus on January 6, 2001 (Epiphany Sunday), 2000 years after Jesus was born. I knew the very moment I made that monumental decision that my life purpose was to be the greatest salesman in the world for the Word of God. This came on the heels of the Holy Spirit leading me to read “The Greatest Salesman in the World” book during 2000. I actually read each of the ten scrolls 3x per day for 30 days (90 times per month) over the course of 10 months (Feb-Nov 2000) to the point I had the entire book memorized. I have never done anything like that before or since.

Knowing my life purpose has been what has kept me going through all the trials and tribulations associated with such a great assignment. It’s what has led me to give all I have to those in need as the Holy Spirit has directed me. It’s been what has kept me from going back to do anesthesia to provide for my family.

In April 2001, I got connected to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes after being invited to their annual banquet in Fredericksburg, VA. That led me to volunteer to help me the local FCA huddle in Culpeper. It turned out the very first FCA huddle (student group meeting) I ever went to in my life took place on the morning of Sept 12, 2001, the day after 9-11. My daughter showed up out-of-the-blue. Less than two weeks later she committed her life to Christ and was transformed miraculously from a selfish teenager to a beautiful young lady.

On January 1, 2007, the first day of my sabbatical year and my 21 day fast, the Holy Spirit told me to ask 12 people to sow a $14,400 seed into Empower 2000 to keep me from having to tap my IRA. When I asked my parents, they agreed to do that, albeit reluctantly. When I asked Michael Stay, he turned down the opportunity. When I asked Patti May, no seed was sown. Those “no’s” took the wind out of my sails to ask others.

Incidentally, I first got connected to Patti on Jan 1, 2007 when I serendipitously called together a group of Pray Culpeper members to meet in a downtown Culpeper building adjacent to the post office to dedicate a suite to be a prayer sanctuary for our community. Patti connected me with Bob Griffin, an extraordinary Messianic Jewish prophet, who then came to Culpeper for the very first time on January 15, 2007. Now I realize the timing to ask for the other $14,400 seeds wasn’t right. Those people weren’t ready and neither was I. Hi Bob,

This morning while I was laying in bed reflecting, the LORD told me to re-send my 2-way prayer from yesterday to you this morning, but this time to include it directly in the email instead of as an attachment.

After getting up, I came downstairs, knelt down and prayed a few minutes. Then I came to my desk to journal. I was planning to listen to Genesis 49-50 (Jacob’s blessing on Joseph), but when I maximized iTunes, I noticed “Breakthrough Revival (prophecy),” the MP3 file you sent me yesterday, happened to be at the very top of my iTunes window I had opened. The Holy Spirit prompted me to listen to that again.

Here is how Bob Jones starts, “A week ago Friday I was in Nashville and I went and laid down at 3 o-clock. And I no sooner laid down and I was in what I call a trance. And I was waiting on a road and 12 men were coming toward me and I could see that they were angels. But one was in front of the others. And the one that was in front came up to me and said ‘My name is Breakthrough.’”

Nashville might well be the most spiritually warm city in America.

Here are some things the “BREAKTHROUGH” angel said that jumped out at me:
1) “I’m going to move among the common people” (bloggers)
2) “If you do what I tell you, we are going to bring many into the Kingdom”
3) “I use tools!”
4) “His angels are like winds. I believe he said Move, Move, Move. It is 3 cities that are ready.”
5) “It’s America’s time for breatkthrough. Study about breakthrough in scripture. Most of the breakthroughs come through praise.”
6) “It’s now.” .. It’s time the Body of Christ quits being observers and becomes participaters.

The web is the number one business tool available. Ted Baehr, the founder of Movie Guide, uses this for his email signature, “He controls the media controls the culture.” Since the web is the most powerful type of media on the planet now, Ted’s statement can be boiled down to “He who controls the web controls the culture.”

We know the number “12″ in Biblical numerology represents the apostolic. Yesterday I spent 4 hours in the Holy of holies composing the email I sent you. This morning while reviewing that, I noticed the frequency of the number 12 in that email

How would you rate your health in each of these four areas — spiritual, physical, emotional, relational — from 1 (terrible) to 10 (fantasic)?

Today is Day 5 in our 30 days series titled “One Month To Live,” based on Kerry and Chris Shook’s book by that same title. “One Month To Live empowers you to focus on being who God created you to be – passionate, fully alive, living without regrets.”

If you’ve flown before on a commercial airline, you probably are familiar with this routine airline safety announcement, “In the event that our cabin pressure should change, an oxygen mask will be released from the overhead compartment. Please place the oxygen mask on yourself first before helping small children or others who may need assistance.”

While it may seem obvious that you can’t help anyone if you have passed out from lack of oxygen yourself, I’ve been guilty over the past few years of putting the oxygen mask on many others without taking in enough oxygen myself.

I confess that I have grossly undervalued my time and made poor choices that have allowed numerous Christians and Christian organizations to soak up my time and financial resources to the point where my income and business has become cachectic. Julia and I have sown every last penny we own into God’s Kingdom work.

We’ve reached the point where we must be STRATEGIC in business and ministry. We can no longer afford to offer free services to any businesses or organizations.

It’s not that we don’t care. We simply don’t have any more money or time to give away.

Here are some excerpts from Chapter 5 of Kerry and Chris’ book.

Jesus indicates that before we can really love others and make a difference in their lives, we have to first love ourselves. You have to first take time to get healthy so you can impact the world around you.

Get Physical: Whether you have thirty days or thirty years left, you should realize that how you treat your body has a direct and lasting impact on the quality of life you enjoy. Our bodies require sleep, exercise, clean air, water, and quality nourishment. To be healthy physically, we must be healthy spiritually and listen to what God says about our bodies. How Do You Feel: The next crucial area where we must breathe first is in our emotional lives. So many people function according to how they feel. A huge part of maturing, of growing up, is learning to acknowledge and experience our emotions without being controlled by them. “For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and of love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7, RSV).

Relationally Connected: The whole reason we put the oxygen mask on ourselves first is so we can breathe in and get healthy and help someone find God’s oxygen. Breathing first is not selfish. It’s essential.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, forgive me for putting the oxygen mask on many others while neglecting myself. Thank You for your wake up call. I finally get it. May I never forget this life lesson. May many others benefit from the hard lesson I have learned. Thank You Jesus. Amen and hallelujah!

Time Squared: “If their days were numbered, most people would want to spend their time carefully and deliberately… If we knew we had one month to live, I suspect most of us would experience crystal clarity about how to prioritize our time…

Do a cost-benefits analysis of your time to determine if how you spend your days produces the benefits you desire… Time management is really energy management. Workaholism stems from poor energy management.

Make It Count Moment: What consumes most your time each day? Be as specific as possible in responding. Many of us might say work consumes most our hours each day, but break it down. What exactly consumes you at work? How meaningful is it? How satisfying is it? How much of any given day to you spend doing only what you do best?

The Test of Time: Many of us, me included, waste so much of our time. How often do we hear and use the b work? We’re really busy. Time once spent cannot be reclaimed. Once an hour, minute, or moment is over, it’s gone forever. However, we can redeem the remaining time we have.

Eternal Clocks: Many people I know feel pressured to produce — even during their vacation and free time… We all need downtime to rest and to worship, to still ourselves before God, to think about our lives and to listen to His voice. A regular time of rest and recovery, a sabbat, is essential to our schedules… We’re created for more than work. Our value is so much more than what we do.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for this very important reminder to number our days. Forgive me for failing to do so in the past. Thank You for Your recent 30 day challenge to live my life as if I have only one month to live. Thank You for the tremendous focus this is bringing. Make It Last For Life

1) Keep a time journal this week, and jot down how you spend each day. Try to rate your productivity (what you accomplish) along with your contentment (hwo you experienced each day). How would you rate the cost-effetiveness of how you invested your time?

2) What was the biggest time waster in your past week! What was the payoff for you? Did it distract you, entertain you, allow you to avoid someone? Is there a way to use your time differently and have a greater, more significant impact? Maybe you need to watch less television and to read more, or perhaps instead of surfing the Internet, you could go for a walk or get some other exercise. Come up with a short list of alternate activities you can pursue the next time you’re tempted to waste time by default.

3) How would you describe your current season of life? Does it feel like you’re buried beneath frozen tundra, emotionally hibernating? Or is it more like spring, with signs of new life in view? What does it mean for you to accept and honor your current season?

How valuable is your health?
Who do you trust for information about health and Wellness?

Today you have a choice — potentially a monumental choice. This email could just be another one that wastes 5 minutes of your time or it could profoundly alter the rest of your life and the lives of those closest to you.

“So what? Now what?” you may ask. When it comes to your health, an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure. Rest assured that unless you are proactive with biointerventions, you have a civil war going on within your body among your 10 million cells and your heading much more rapidly toward the disability zone.

On Wed April 1, Jerry Graham (Ph.D.), Sharon Graham (R.N.), and I (M.D.) hosted our first public Wellness webinar to announce our new Wellness e-book and course. That was a huge breakthrough, at least two years in the making. Already more than 25 people have downloaded our Free Chapter 1 and several people have bought the complete book. This book is about much more than journaling. It’s about much more than breakthroughs. It’s about developing a deep and abiding relationship with Me. It’s about understanding who I AM really is. It’s about learning to hear My voice so you can follow Me.

Randy, the most important thing you can do today is plan. BE PREPARED. As Matt has shared with you, each minute of planning is worth ten minutes of work. Today I will bring to your mind a list of things you are to do. Put those in a list and sort them in the order you sense they should be done. I will guide you even in that process and as usual, I may interject something new or rearrange what you have written down. That’s the way it is when you are chasing the Wild Goose. Your security was never in your retirement account. It wasn’t in your home. It was in Me. I am your rock and have always been so. I called you to a loving relationship with Me and you said “yes..”  That was the turning point in your life and in your relationships.

What simple step can you take TODAY to be better steward of those?

On Friday Feb 13, the Holy Spirit prompted me to spend several hours doing an inventory of my relationships. During that process, the LORD revealed to me how to use The Journal software to take my stewardship of relationships to a whole new level. That is the topic of today’s 8 pm EST webinar. I invite you to join Jerry and me for that.

Under the category JIREH Marketing, I created a new category called Joint Ventures and under that I created 3 tiers of people I know and correspond with regularly – Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Under Level 1, I created categories using names of people who have had a dramatic impact on my life and sorted those people in chronological order – the order God brought them into my life.

My parents were first. They modeled the love of God throughout my life. They instilled in me the habit of going to church every week. They taught me countless values which have not only impacted me, but ten of thousands of people I have come across during my lifetime.

After my parents, came Rev. Mark Jarvis. Not only did he lead me to a personal relationship with Jesus and disciple me spiritually, but he opened the door for a long-term relationship with Rev. Matt Gregory, my current pastor, and Michael Stay. The four of us met weekly in a coaching group for 4 years. Through this support network, my faith grew exponentially and many Kingdom doors of opportunity were opened.

Following them, other people I listed included Erick Kalenga, Virginia Morton, Rick Heeren, Jack Serra, Jeff Bernstein, Joseph Umidi, Bowie Curry, Jack Stagman, Jerry Graham, Ben Stewart, Mark Virkler, Karla Meachem, and Lynne Lee.

Today I want to give a special thanks to Karla and Lynne. Both of these ladies I met through Twitter. They both chose to become JIREH Marketing members. And in just a few months, they have had a profound impact on me. Both are extremely humble. They are avid users of Relationship Marketing (Web 2.0). And both keep their eyes focused on Jesus and daily seek His Kingdom and His righteousness. Through their close relationships with Jesus, they supernaturally manifest the “go-giver” philosophy.

This morning I visited Karla’s site Empowering Christian Women, which is my favorite site ever for Christian resources. I was particularly touched by the Father’s Love Letter” YouTube vido. See Blessings of the Day to learn more.

Karla also has a personal blog titled “More of Him: Less of Me.” This morning when I visited that, I noticed Karla wrote, “I’ve been asked to do another interview on internet radio. Once again, I am stepping out in faith. :) This will be my 3rd interview this month ~ one last Tuesday, one last Wednesday and another one soon – please stay tuned for the details.”

What’s amazing is that Karla’s breakthroughs and some of my new breakthroughs came as a result of her choice to sow a financial seed to be JIREH Marketing Member. As a result, she joined TEAM DESTINY, God’s team to change lives and disciple nations. As a result of that, Dr. Jerry Graham and I hosted Karla as our guest expert for the “JIREH Marketing: Empowering Christian Women” webinar on Feb 3.

That was Karla’s very first interview and now the gates of heaven are open for her to have explosive Kingdom impact. PTL. You go girl.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the precious gift of relationships, which are the currency of the Kingdom of God. I thank You for each and every person who has sown good seeds into my life. I thank You for the recent relationships you helped me establish with Karla Meachem and Lynne Lee. Thank You for the new and big doors of opportunity You are opening for both of them. Bless their marriages, their families, and their ministries (businesses). May both of them accomplish more for Your Kingdom in 2009 than they did previously in their entire lives. Thank You Jesus. With You all things are possible. Amen and Hallelujah!

What will YOU choose to do to start your new year off on a great note?

Welcome to a brand new year! The keyword that Jesus gave me for 2009 during my two-way prayer time is MARGIN – margin financially and time-wise.

I typically relish the end of each year as a time to reflect on the previous year and to set new goals for the upcoming year. In the process of working on my new journaling e-book and also preparing for yesterday’s devotional titled “Culpeper’s Top Ten Spiritual Stories Of 2008,” I had the opportunity to review many of the devotionals I have written over the past 2.5 years. That was such a blessing.

This past week was especially enjoyable for me from a family perspective because my parents had all their children and all but one of their grandchildren at their beautiful home in Massanutten VA for several days.

Yesterday I spent more than an hour hunting down an old but excellent blog post by Doug Phillips titled “How To End 2006″ and adding that to my blog post titled “How to End The Year Strong.”  Doug, founder of Vision Forum Ministries. is the brother of Brad Phillips, founder of the Persecution Project Foundation.

This morning, I went to Clairmont Manor to support my wife and take photos for the annual New Year’s Day 5k run. While we had a small crowd, I think I knew everyone there. I have a photo at today’s Link of the Day. To my delight, Fred Santinga came out. I don’t think we had seen each other in more than a year. We ended up talking to each for several hours afterwards in the cold.

This afternoon, my wife watched three of Michelle Geesaman’s children while Michelle went to buy a hybrid car in Northern Virginia. When Michelle got back. I asked to videotape her to share about her family traditions for ending each year and for praying at meal times. That 2 minute video is posted online at today’s Link of the Day too. Michelle loves Jesus and is a homeschooling mother of five children. When she told me about her family traditions at the 5k run, I told her I wanted to videotape that.

Lots of improvements are on the way for Your Daily Blessing.

Blessings to experience a substantial increase in MARGIN in your life in 2009!

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)

How can you empower your life story?
Will you commit to meet with Jesus daily?
When and where are you going to start?
How long are you going to meet with Jesus each day?
What resources do you need to meet with Jesus?

I’ve had a Wow! morning. God is so good! I’ll share part of the story this morning and more tomorrow. If you need encouragement today, read on.

Yesterday at Soul Purpose Church, Pastor Matt preached a message titled “My Life Story Empowered.” He shared that you’ll never know you’re soul purpose until you meet Jesus and then meet with Jesus daily. Key scriptures were Psalm 119:105 and Exodus 33:7-17.

Matt first addressed the question “How do I meet with God?” and then laid out these 4 simple steps

1) Opening prayer – preparation (confess sin) and permission (“Whatever You tell me to do, I’ll do.”)

2) Read (or listen to) Bible. According to Hebrews 4:12, the Word of God is living and active (if you let it be). According to Henry Blackaby, “The Bible is not something that leads to a connection with God; It is the connection with God.” Matt pointed out that while the U.S. Constitution is often referred to a living, breathing document, it’s not really. But contrast this with the Bible.

Matt answered the question “Where do I start in reading through the Bible?” by recommending John, 1 John, Luke, Acts, Romans, then Genesis in that order. What a great suggestion.

Matt’s answer to the question “What am I looking for as I read?” was SPACE PETS = Sin to confess, Promise to claim, Attitude to change, Command to obey, Example to follow, Prayer to pray, Error to avoid, Truth to be believed, Something to thank God for.

3) Journal – meditate and record answers to these questions:
a) What did God say to me? (Which of the SPACE PETS really got my attention today)
b) Why did God say that to me today?
c) What am I going to do today because of what God said to me? (What needs to change?)
d) With whom can I share what God said to me today?

4) Record your response prayer. Commit to follow what He has shown you today. Praise Him for who He is. Thank him for what He has done.

Then Matt did something that every preacher would benefit from. He gave each person 10 minutes to actually practice what he taught using Psalm 1. As I read that Psalm, I underlined “meditates on it (the Word of God) day and night” as my one Command to obey. I made the commitment to spend an hour each morning and night in My Secret Place reading the Bible and praying for specific people on a written list starting that evening.

So yesterday evening before I went to bed, I read all of 1 John out loud in our home. That resulted in a rocket launch this morning. Be sure to catch tomorrow’s message and opportunity.

Jesus, thank You that every day each of us has the opportunity to meet with You by reading your Word with an open mind and an open heart. Thank You for helping me write today’s message. May those who read it be doers of Your Word, not just hearers. We bless You. Amen and hallelujah!
